| Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of QingQiHuatantang treating the Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (AECOPD)(Phlegm hot obstructing the lung) and the positive impact of lung functions.Method:60suitable patients were randomly divided into two groups including30cases in treatment group and the other30cases in control group.The control group was treated with conventional Western methods such as oxygen therapy, bronchodilators, antibiotics and expectorant. Besides the conventional Western methods, the treatment group was treated with QingQiHuatantang prescription. The patients in the two groups were both treated with14days as a single course. Observe the changes of the patients’ symptoms, signs, lung function and other indicators before and after treatment.Result:30cases of the control group and30cases of the treatment group both completed the test successfully. The specific results were as follows:the main symptoms and signs such as cough, expectoration, wheezing, rales and fever of the treatment group were significantly better than those of the control group (P<0.05). TCM syndrome score assessment in the treatment group was96.67%while that in s control group was83.33%, which showed the former had a better efficacy (P<0.05). FEV1%and FEV1/FVC%of the patients in the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.01or P<0.05) before and after treatment, which indicated that the two groups both could improve lung function. Compared the treatment group with the control group,which was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1QingQiHuatantang can significantly improve symptoms and signs of AECOPD such as cough, expectoration, wheezing, rales, fever ect. Clinical total effective of the treatment group were better than that of the control group.2QingQi Huatan liquid can effectively improve lung function indicators including FEV1%and FEV1/FVC%of AECOPD, which was better than the control group. |
