Objective:The expression of5-hydroxytryptamine serotonin1A Recipient (5-HT1AR) in Cortexand Limbic System was studied, including the comparison between the expression of5-HT1AR in these two regions to check if there were some differences or not, and therelationship analysis between the distribution of5-HT1AR and anatomical structure.The study was undertaken by using tissue microarray and immunohistochemistry, andthe results provided the experimental support for the treatment of tristimania.Methods:The five brain specimens used in this paper which had completely histologicalstructure and no visible lesions were collected in autopsy, and one of them was belongto heroin addicts. The entire brains were cut into small pieces (5mm*5mm*5mm) byusing position select instrument, then the coordinates of each pieces were taken forthe record. After making these pieces into normal paraffin blocks, the tissuemicroarrays were established and sliced. In order to detect the expression of5-HT1AR in Cortex and Limbic System, the slices were stained by making use ofimmunohistochemistry and rabbit anti-human monoclonal antibody of5-HT1AR.Results:1. The expression of5-HT1AR in frontal cortex、temporal cortex and parietal cortexwas compared under the circumstances of p>0.05, and the results showed that theexpression intensity had no difference. Furthermore, under the circumstances of p<0.05, the pairwise comparison of frontal cortex、temporal cortex、parietal cortex andoccipital cortex、insular cortex was also executed separately, and the results showedthat the expression of5-HT1AR in frontal cortex、temporal cortex、parietal cortex wasmore intensity than which in occipital cortex、insular cortex.2. The expression comparison of5-HT1AR in frontal cortex and Hippocampus was statistical (p>0.05). And the results showed that the expression intensity had nodifference.3. The expression comparison of5-HT1AR in frontal cortex and Thalamus wasstatistical (p>0.05). And the results showed that the expression intensity had nodifference.4. The expression comparison of5-HT1AR in frontal cortex and Amygdalae wasstatistical (p>0.05). And the results showed that the expression intensity had nodifference.Conclusions:1. The expression of5-HT1AR was widely found in Cortex and Limbic System.2. The expression of5-HT1AR in frontal cortex、temporal cortex、parietal cortex wasmore intensity than which in occipital cortex、insular cortex.
