| Parnassia wightiana Wall, belongs to family Saxifragaceae. The plant of Parnassia wightiana Wall, is a kind of Chinese traditional herb medicines in china, which is used to treat cough hemoptysis, malaria, kidney stones, cholelithiasis, leucorrhea and traumatic injury. P. wightiana is widely distributed in China,However, the research on its chemical constituents has rarely been reported. The purpose of this research is to show the values of this plant. Based on the theories and principles of phytochemistry, the chemical constituents of Parnassia wightianaWall was studied. This article describes the biological characteristics and distribution of Parnassia wightiana Wall, summarizes the researches on plant chemical compositions and pharmacological activities.A steroid and three sesquiterpenoids compounds were isolated and purified from the50%ethanolic extract of Parnassia wightiana Wall by silica gel, Sephedex LH-20column chroma-tography and recrystallization. Based on the analysis of their spectral data and the compareat-ion with the related literatural data, the compounds were identified as β-sitosterol (D-1) celahin B (D-2),(3R,5S,5aTR,6R,9R,9aS,10R)-6-acetoxy-2,2,5a,9-tetramethyl-7-oxooc-tahydro-2H-3,9a-methanobenzo[b]oxepine-5,10-diyl dibenzoate (D-3), and (1R,2R,3S,4R,4aR,5R,8R,8aS)-5-acetoxy-3,8a-dihydroxy-2-(2-hydroxypropan-2-yl)-4a,8-dimeth-yl-6-oxodecahydronaphthalene-1,4-diyl dibenzoate (D-4). These compounds were found for the fist time from this plant, D-3and D-4are new compounds. Two compounds were tested against Tetranychus cinnbarinus. The results obtained showed that the compound of D-2with insecticidal activity against T. cinnbarinus at1.0mg/mL, death rate for D-2against T. cinnbarinus was47.3%. The results also showed that the compound of D-4without insecticidal activity. |
