BackgroudPerioperative treatment as a means to improve the Clinical efficacy has been widely used in various surgical field, how to make use of the perioperative management of chronic rhinosinusitis, is the concern of ENT clinicians. Nasal irrigation as a measure of the local treatment, recently it is gradually being used in the treatment of various diseases in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinusitis, including acute and chronic sinusitis, allergic and non-allergic rhinitis, endoscopic sinus surgery, radiotherapy of NPC, or even asthma, viral colds and other upper respiratory tract. With some devices, through physical erosion, and localized drug delivery mechanism, it clears nasal inflammatory secretions, improves mucociliary transport function, reduces the local inflammatory response, with positive results; Nasal irrigation with the perioperative medication, is bound to promote the recovery of sinusitis in patients with the disease.ObjectivesTo observation the patients with chronic sinusitis of the Syndrome of dampness and heat of the spleen and stomach in the perioperative period, the contrast to simple saline rinse, investigating Sinusitis Irrigating Solution of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of perioperative comprehensive efficacy evaluation.Methods1According to the case inclusion criteria,120cases collected eligible cases, Randomized to treatment groups (SIS), the control group (normal saline), in addition to conventional medical treatment, the treatment of a postoperative24to48h after the start line nasal irrigation treatment, were followed up for6months, preoperative and postoperative3months,6months,collection of research data;2Evaluation is divided into two aspectsâ‘ objective response:endoscopic sinus review, the use of the Lund-Kennedy scoring to score the surgical cavity;â‘¡subjective efficacy:symptoms and quality of life questionnaire (VAS score, SNOT20scores).ResultObjective response:All patients (3months,6months) Lund-Kennedy score significantly higher than the preoperative improvement; surgical cavity epithelization of the difference between the different groups, traditional Chinese medicine nasal irrigation group was better than the saline group efficacy (P<0.05).The subjective effect:Postoperative (3months,6months) VAS, total SNOT-20score compared with preoperative exist significant improvement, in SNOT-20Comparison of different dimensions, the most significant improvement in nasal symptoms. Subjective endpoint for comparing the treatment group and control group, traditional Chinese medicine nasal irrigation group VAS scores, SNOT-20have a greater advantage in the improvement of the different dimensions, plays a prominent role in improving the quality of life, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).ConclusionSinusitis Irrigating Solution of Chinese medicine can improve clinical outcomes, improve quality of life, reduce the nose and runny nose, headache, sleep disturbance and fatigue, anxiety, and other local and systemic symptoms, reduce the rate of nasal mucosal inflammation, promoting mucosal epithelium, reducing nasalsecretions, the effective than simple saline irrigating.
