ObjectiveDrug influence is an important factor that affect the accuracy and reliability of boratory test results. Although Ethamsylate and Fufang Danshen are extensively used, the problem of test results affected by drugs is not paid enough attention by doctors or laboratory scientists. When the test results are analyzed, especially some abnormal results, this influence factor usually is ignored. So the research is to dig into the problem and to draw more doctors and laboratory scientists attention to it.MethodsAccording to clinical and laboratory standards institute EP7-A2document, detect the invitro interference research of ethamsylate and Fufang Danshen on some common clinical biochemical test items. Paired-difference testing and dose-response experiment were designed to identify the interferences and to determine the relationship formula between the interference effect of drug and the serum concentration of drug.ResultsIt was revealed that ethamsylate had a strong negative interference on CREA, UA assay, a negative interference on CHOL, TG, GLU assay, a diphase interference on FMN assay, a positive interference on LDH assay, but no interference on HBDH, HDL-C, LDL-C tests. The relative formula between the interference effect of ethamsylate on CREA, UA, CHOL, TG, GLU, FMN, LDH tests and the serum concentration of ethamsylate was y=-0.7-1089.467x+1520x2, y=-7.914-2004.952x+3580.952x2, y=-0.006-2.227x, y=-0.064-4.147x, y=0.068-5.987x, y=-0.008-9.605x+80.127x2-100.741x2, y=-1.2+231.733x.The lowest interferent concentrations of ethamsylate on CREA, UA, CHOL, TG, GLU, FMN, LDH tests were0.025g/L,0.008g/L,0.22g/L,0.04g/L,0.107g/L,0.019g/L,0.18g/L.The positive interference was identified in Jaffe reaction rate method and the negative interference was identified in sarcosine oxidase method for serum creatinine test by ethamsylate. The relative formula between the interference effect of ethamsylate on Jaffe reaction rate method and sarcosine oxidase method and the serum concentration of ethamsylate was y=-1.494-602.638x-908.959x2, y=-0.7-1089.467x+1520x2. The lowest interferent concentrations of ethamsylate were0.06g/L in Jaffe reaction rate method and0.025g/L in sarcosine oxidase method. The interference is proved by the bias analysis results on testing different samples from ethamsylate users.It was revealed that Fufang Danshen had no negative interference on UA, CHOL, TG, FMN, HDL-C, LDL-C, LDH, HBDH, GLU assay, a negative interference on CREA assay. The relative formula between the interference effect of Fufang Danshen on CREA test and the serum concentration of Fufang Danshen was y=-1.2-17.8x. The lowest interferent concentration of Fufang Danshen on CREA test was3.28ml/L.ConclusionEthamsylate and Fufang Danshen produce different invitro interference to the results of some common clinical biochemical tests.
