The thesis consists of two chapter altogether. The first chapter rewiews the research progress ofcompounds from leaves of Cleidiocarpon cavaleriei(Levl.) Airy Shaw, the family of Euphorbiaceae, andshows the the isolation and identification of all kinds of compounds and volatile components. Fivecompounds and some olefins were identified. The second chapter shows α-glucosidase inhibitory andantioxidant in vitro of different extracts, including all Methanol extract, Petroleum Ether Extraction, Ethylacetate extract and Ethanol Extract, were assayed.1. Study on the Chemistry constituents of leaves of Cleidiocarpon cavaleriei(Levl.) Airy ShawC. cavaleriei(Levl.) Airy Shaw belongs to the family of Euphorbiaceae. We study chemistryconstituents on different extracts of C. cavaleriei(Levl.) Airy Shaw, which were collected from Guizhou.Twelve compounds were isolated and five were identified, The compounds are as follows: Taraxerylacetate, Taraxerol, Sequoiaflavon, Amentoflavone, Podocarpusflavone A. Furthermore, some oil ofpetroleum ether extraction were assayed by GC-MS and found a lot of alkane, alkane and esters.2. Study on the Bioactivity of leaves of Cleidiocarpon cavaleriei(Levl.) Airy ShawWe assayed the inhibitory effect against α-glucosidase of different solvent extracts (all Methanolextract, Petroleum Ether Extraction, Ethyl acetate extract and Ethanol Extract) from C. cavaleriei(Levl.)Airy Shaw. These four parts showed strong inhibitory effect against a-glucosidase,and Ethyl acetate extract showed the best. The antioxidant activities of different solvent extracts(all Methanol extract, Petroleum Ether Extraction,Ethyl acetate extract and Ethanol Extract) of C. cavaleriei(Levl.) Airy Shaw were assayed by the DPPH,ABTS and FRAP methods, ethyl acetate extract showed better eliminating DPPH free radical activities.
