Objective:To detect β-actin in serum of patients with ovarian endometriosis cyst, trying to search for new bio-markers as object detection for EMs in clinicalapplication.Methods:Collected10cases treated with ovarian endometriotic cyst lesionscystectomy or resection from October2009until May2010in the SecondNorman Bethune Hospital of Jilin University. The control groups are consistedof patients suffering ovarian cancer, benign ovarian tumor and other diseasestreated with surgery for the same period, which are10cases respectively. Weuse enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method to detect β-actinexpression in EMs compared with control groups. Check up the medicalcases, and then try to find out some relative factors.Results:1. The40specimens were performed three times repeatedly. With SPSS17.0statistics software for single factor analysis of variance, β-actin inendometriosis cyst of ovary is higher than the ovarian cancer group (P<0.05).2. CA125found in endometriosis cyst of ovary is lower expression thanovarian malignant tumor through statistical analysis.Conclusions:1. β-actin in endometriosis cyst of ovary is higher than the ovarian cancergroup (P<0.05). By the experiment above, we can draw a conclusion thatβ-actin in differential diagnosis of ovarian endometriosis and ovarian malignanttumors has a certain reference value.2. Ovarian endometriosis cyst has higher expression of β-actin but lower expression of CA125. So β-actin and CA125combined detection ofendometriosis and ovarian malignant tumors may enhance the specificity andsensitivity.
