Objective:To study the hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection rate in patients with hematologic neoplasm and observe the hepatic injury induced by chemotherapy. Methods:We investigated the HBV infection status of205cases of hematologic neoplasm, and200normal people in the corresponding period were also studied as a control group. The HBV infection rate and hepatic injury rate were compared. Results:The positive rate of HBsAg in lymphoma patients was22.95%, singificantly higher than that in control group and other three groups (P<0.05);The hepatic injury rate in patients with HBV infection is highter than that in patients without HBV infection (0.01<P<0.05) before chemotherapy; The hepatic injury rate induced by chemotherapy in patients with negative HBsAg and positive HBeAb and HBcAb was51.28%, highter than that in patients without HBV infection(22.48%).Conclusions:The prevalence of HBV infection was significantly higher in lymphoma patients than general population. It was very important for the patients with positive HBsAg that lamivudine was used at the first time for prophylaxis of HBV-DNA replication and hepatic injury. Regular measurement of HBV-DNA and liver function should be focused on those patients with negative HBsAg, but positive HBeAb and HBcAb.
