Objective:to investigate the efficiancy of percutaneous vertebroplasty in the treatment of vertebral hemangiomaMethod:18patients diagnosis as vertebral hemangioma with20vertebrae were treated in our hospital during2006.2to2011.2,of which contanted8female,10male,average age41.9Y(range28-56).all patient were followed-up for1year.all patient had a history of back pain, mean time16.6M(range9-26M).all patients were diagnosis through images(X ray,CT,MRI) and the disease histories with no evidence showed any spine compression.preoperative pain and postoperative pain the1st day,3M,6M,12M after operation were obtained.Result:all patients were followde up for more than12months.considering the JOA score and the VAS,the preoperative pain was significant server than the postoperative pain in the1st day,3M,6M,12M after operation(p<0.05), there were significant difference between the1st day and the3M,6M,12M when using VAS(p<0.05).one patient had the cement leakage during the operation, but had no symptom.there were no obvious complications such as pulmonray embolism, infection, adjacent vertebral fracture. Conclusion:Percutaneous vertebroplasty appears to be an effective technique in the treatment of VH with satisfactory and instantly mechanieal stability result.
