Objective:To summarize the clinicopathological features of idiopathic membranous nephropathy, to analyze and compare clinical manifestation, laboratory findings and pathological characteristics of youth and old membranous nephropathy (MN) cases. To find out the differences between two groups, in order to provide the epidemiological evidence for diagnosis and treatment. Methods:Retrospectively analyze the clinical, laboratory and pathologic data of158IMN cases, in which there were75cases under40-year old as the Younger Group, while there were83cases over4C’s as the Older Group, by their clinical manifestation, laboratory findings and pathological features. Results:The study included158patients (85M/73F), mean age42.97±16.329. Analysis showed that the older patients had significantly lower GFR(MDRD) than the youngers(P=0.000). However, there were no differences in UA, Cr, TC, TG, ALB, PRO/Cr, pathological features between two groups. Conclusion:IMN is one of the most common cause of nephrotic syndrome. Young people have an increased prevalence of IMN. We find that the ratio of male patients with MN is slightly higher than females, patients of two groups had the same clinical manifestation, includes proteinuria, hematuria, edema, hypertension, etc. of the IMN. The GFR(MDRD) in older patients is significantly lower than the youngers(P=0.000), while there were no differences in UA, Cr, TC, TG, ALB, PRO/Cr between two groups. Pathological typel, Ⅱ were very common in two groups.
