Objective: Summarized the pediatric neurology clinic in children withepilepsy treatment and follow-up survey,to establish a database for childrenwith epilepsy, improving the management system for children with epile-psy,improving patient compliance, and provide the basic guarantee for theepilepsy reseach. Methods: Using self registration form registered new diagnostic andprevious diagnosis of children with epilepsy with age, sex, weight, and the firstonset date, date of diagnosis, form of attack frequency, with or withoutpredisposing factors, physical examination, laboratory checks, medication, treatment response, and follow-up. Classification of epileptic seizures usedstandards developed by the ILAE in1981, epilepsy syndrome classified usingthe2001ILAE proposed new recommendationsResults:1.2011to2012treatment of epilepsy patients database. Collected a totalof epilepsy cases had1082cases (632cases of newly diagnosed, previouslydiagnosed to follow-up of450cases),618cases of boys,464cases of girls. Themale to female ratio was1.33:1.2. According to the1981ILAE epileptic seizure classification, thediagnosis of epilepsy had898cases,768cases of focal seizures, generalizedseizures in118cases, classification unknown in12cases. According to theclassification of the report of the2001ILAE epilepsy syndrome, epilepsysyndrome had184cases, including focal epilepsy syndrome76cases,generalized epilepsy syndrome in108cases. 3. In this study, there were monotherapy of862cases, two-drug combina-tion of186cases, three-drug combination of7cases, four-combination of2cases,1case of surgical treatment, not medication treatment observed24cases.4. The longest follow-up period was five years, the shortest one month.Onset of complete control had750cases, effective of the98cases, valid of the220cases,14cases of non-control. Except symptomatic epilepsy, three yearswithout seizures, drug reduction had120cases (which abnormal EEGdischarge completely disappeared in60cases);4cases recurrence, backed tothe original amount. One case of recurrence after1year;poor complianceinduced again to attack had10cases; refractory epilepsy had7cases; off10cases.5. The use of antiepileptic drug treatment in1054patients, adversereactions had72cases, a total of105times.6.1082cases diagnosed in children with epilepsy, to do24-hourambulatory EEG had1012cases, ordinary EEG of70cases. Abnormal EEGdischarge had962cases,120cases of normal discharge EEG. After the reviewof ambulatory EEG in drug treatment764cases,592cases of EEG is stillabnormal, but the discharge from the previous mitigate, the course of four casesof episodes of repeated EEG showed ESES phenomenon.Conclusions:1. To establish a database for medical treatment in children with epilepsybetween2011and2012, this work will be maintained to provide the basicguarantee for epilepsy.2. Our center from2011to2012, newly diagnosed632cases of childrenwith epilepsy; previous diagnosis of children with epilepsy follow-up of450cases. Male to female ratio was1.33:1.Seizures classification had898cases,the epilepsy syndrome classification of184cases.EEG positive rate was88.9%.3. Etiology investigation: Diagnosis of symptomatic epilepsy accounting for27.2%; radiographic abnormalities accounting for22.6%; convulsions offamily history accounted for4.8%.4.1082cases of epilepsy patients, the longest follow-up period was fiveyears, the shortest one month. Completely controled accounting for69.3%,patients effective accounting for9.1%, valid accounting for20.3%,invalidaccounting for1.3%.Poor compliance and shedding each0.9%.5. Drug-related adverse reactions: Antiepileptic drug treatment in1054patients,72cases had adverse reactions, accounting for6.8%.
