Objective1 To explore traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndrome type distributioncharacteristics of acute rhinosinusitis(ARS) (including chronic rhinosinusitis ) .Toexplore the correlation between different syndromes and nasal mucous ciliatransmission function,so as to provide a clinical differentiation basis for acuterhinosinusitis treatment.2 To observe short-term effect of yinqiao qingbi capsules(YQC) for treatment ofacute rhinosinusitis ,and effect on nasal mucous cilia transmission function and Nosesecretion.Method80 cases with ARS were divided into two groups at random . The observe group( n=40 )treated with yinqiao qingbi capsules and the control group ( n=40 ) treatedwith huodan pills for 10 days.Test mucociliary transport time(MTT) with saccharinetest before and after treatment to assess nasal mucous cilia transmission function.Toobserve the correlation between different syndromes and MTT value ,and the changesof MTT value between two groups. To observe short-term effect with symptom andphysical sign grading quantitative integral. To observe nasal discharge secretionprocess and record obviously increasing time and peak time.Results1 In patients with ARS ,there were 22 cases (27.50%) of lung meridian wind-heatsyndrome ,35 cases (43.75%) of gallbladder heat stagnation syndrome,23 cases(28.75%) of spleen stomach damp heat syndrome, and gallbladder heat stagnationsyndrome had the largest percentage. The MTT value were(788.59 191.97)seconds,(1101.74 288.71)seconds,and(1179.87 251.59)seconds.There were statisticalsignificances between lung meridian wind-heat syndrome and the other twogroups, and the MTT value of lung meridian wind-heat syndrome was lower.2 After treatment, in observe group 12 cases were cured, 20 cases excellence, 6cases improved , 2 cases invalided, total effective rate was 95.00%.In control group 5cases were cured, 16 cases excellence, 13 cases improved , 6 cases invalided, total effective rate was 85.00%.The total effective rate had no statistically significant effectbetween the two groups( P>0. 05 ),but the overall efficacy between the two groupshad a statistically significant effect, the observe group was higher than the controlgroup( P<0. 05 ). There was a statistically significant effect between the two groups innasal mucosal hyperemia turbinate enlargement after treatment.3 After treatment,MTT value were(631.03 140.291)seconds,(708.68176.488)seconds in observe group and control group, there were differences betweentwo groups(P<0.05),the observe group was better than the control group.4 In observe group,31 cases had the process that nasal discharge(or sputum)secreted firstly increased significantly to reach a peak and finally reducedsignificantly, and there were 19 cases in the control group. The start time that nasaldischarge(or sputum) secretion significantly increased in the two groups werestatistical significance(P<0.05),the observe group stare earlier. The peak time of nasaldischarge(or sputum) secretion of the two groups was no significant differences.Conclusions1 There were some correlations between TCM syndrome types and nasal mucouscilia transmission function of acute rhinosinusitis, and the nasal mucous ciliatransmission function of lung meridian wind-heat syndrome is the strongest.2 Yinqiao qingbi capsules can restrain the inflammatory reaction and improve thenasal mucociliary system transfer function, to clear nasal secretions. Finally makesinus ostium patency and nasal ventilation improved, the clinical results are satisfied.
