objective:Preliminary studies different ways of early dexamethasone after experimental subarachnoid hemorrhage effects on TGF-β1and leptomeningeal average fiber thickness.in cerebrospinal fluid to provide experimental guidance for dexamethasone preventing the occurrence of chronic hydrocephalus after subarachnoid hemorrhage.Methods:130weight of about250g to350g,2~3months of wistar rat were selected and randomly divided into three groups.each group of10.2The subarachnoid hemorrhage model was constructed by injecting auto blood through foramen magnum into subarachnoid space, they were given pillow big pool injection of dexamethasone, intraperitoneal injection of dexamethasone, pillow big pool injection of saline repectively by groups.3The ELISA method was uesd to measure cerebrospinal fluid TGF-β1concentration twenty days after the injection dexamethasone and the image analysis system was uesd to detect the average thickness of leptomeningeal fiber.4All the data were analyzed by software SPSS13.0software.The concentration of the cerebrospinal fluid TGF-β1and average thickness of soft meningeal fiber were descriptived by, Arithmetic mean±SD. The differences between these groups were conducted by oneway ANOVA(P<0.05). The correlation between Cerebrospinal fluid TGF-β1concentration and soft meningeal fiber thickness was conducted by Pearson correlation. Results:In the intrathecal administration group,TGF-β1concentration and leptomeningeal average fiber thickness were significantly higher than that in the intraperitoneal administration group and intrathecal administration group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). TGF beta1concentration and leptomeningeal average fiber thickness in the intraperitoneal administration group was significantly higher than that of intrathecal administration group.and the difference was statistically significant.2The correlation coefficient was0.949, P<0.01.it suggested the correlation between TGF-β1concentration and soft meningeal fiber thickness were positively linear. Conclusion:intravenous high dose dexamethasone is helpful for preventing hydrocephalus early after SAH.
