Lumbar spine disease is very common in surgery, traction treatment is one of the effective method for treating lumbar intervertebral disc disease. The time> size and direction of the traction are all relation to the biomechanical characteristics of the lumbar. It is very important to research the biomechanical feature of lumbar spine. The finite element analysis method is one of the most effective methods in the study of theory biomechanics. Compared with the method of experiment biomechanics, the finite element analysis method has unique advantages in alternative态repeatability and controllability. The method of how to establish a three-dimensional finite element model of human lumbar spine rapidly and accurately is mainly discussed in this paper, and some simulation analysis is done in the status of different traction angle, so the relation between the traction effect and the different traction angle is got, and the theory basis is provided for the development of a new-type traction equipment of lumbar spine.First of all, the model of lumbar spine bone is regenerated by dealing with the CT images in Mimics software, the lumbar intervertebral disc model is generated by Boolean method, the geometrical model with high accuracy is established in this way. After that, the model is introduced into Solidworks to create physical model, it will be more convenient in the follow-up finite element analysis. Then the finite element model is established in Ansys. Afterwards the validity of the model is verified by comparing the axial compression force-axial displacement graph and the lateral moment-lateral degree graph of the finite element model with the results of the biomechanical experiments in vitro. Finally, the relation between the thickness of the lumbar intervertebral disc and the different traction angle under certain size of traction force is obtained by simulation, and the change of the pressure in lumbar intervertebral disc is figured out.The three-dimensional finite element model built in this paper can be conveniently applied load and constraints to do finite element analysis. The simulation results show that the specific lesion intervertebral discs can be better treated by adjusting the traction angle.
