| AIM:To observe the intervention effect of niweikang in rats with chronic atrophic gastritis.METHODS:A rat model of chronic atrophic gastritis was established by infection of Helicobacter pylori and intragastric infusion of Sodium Salicylate and alcoho1.65 Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:the normal control group, the model group, the niweikang intervention group and the Teprenone intervention group. The model group was infected by Helicobacter pylori and given Sodium Salicylate and alcohol by intragastric infusion for 14 weeks.Besides these, the niweikang intervention group was also given niweikang once a day for 14 weeks,and the Teprenone intervention group was given Teprenone once a day for 14 weeks. The normal control group was treated with NS by gastric perfusion with the same volume as the model group once a day for 14 weeks. During the process of the experiment, the general state of health and weight of rats were observed. After the experiment, all the rats were killed, the gaster pathology was observed among the four groups.RESULTS:The CAG model was successfully estabilshed by the end of the 14th week.The rats in the model group were emaciating,hair loose,poor in appetite and less active.Under macroscopic observation,gastric mucosa of the rats in model group lacked luster,thinningz, submucosal blood vessels could be seen.Under microscopic observation, the numbers of the gland in mucosa decreased obviously,with disorder of the gland structure and severe infiltration of inflammatory cells.H. pylori could be seen,the H. pylori colonization rate of rats in the model group was 81.3%.The general state of rats in the intervention goups were better than that of rats in the model group.The body weight of rats in the intervention group was between that of rats in model group and that of rats in normal controll group.Under macroscopic observation,gastric mucosal of rats in the intervention groups was better than that in the model group.Under microscopic observation,the indexes of inflammation and atrophy of rats in the intervention groups were lower than that of rats in the model group(P<0.05). And the index of atrophy of rats in the niweikang intervention group was lower than that of rats in the Teprenone intervention group(P<0.05).The H. pylori colonization rates of rats in the niweikang intervertion group was lower than that of rats in the model group(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference of H. pylori colonization rate between the model group and the Teprenone intervention group.CONCLUSION:The CAG rat model was successfully established through H. pylori infection and intragastric infusion of Sodium Salicylate and alcohol. Niweikang and Teprenone can intervene in the process of CAG of rat.The intervention effect of niweikang is similar with that of Teprenone. |
