Integrative Body-Mind Training (IBMT), a new psychological training technique adapted from Chinese Medicine, has been proved to be effective for improvement in attention and self-regulation.Previous researches have indicated that the subjects’hypnotic susceptibility could predict their psychological training outcomes. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the differences of physiological caused by IBMT or Relaxation Training (RT), furthermore, to investigate the correlations between the changes of heart rate variability (HRV), one sensitive physiological index for IBMT, and the hypnotic susceptibility of subjects who have received IBMT or RT.The results of this study are summarized as follows:1. After4-week IBMT training, the heart rate and skin conductance of subjects were significant reduced, the abdominal breathing rate of subjects was significant increased. Compared with RT, the index of subjects who received IBMT had more changes.2. There’s no correlation between the training outcome of IBMT and subjects’hypnotic susceptibility, while the HRV changes of RT group showed tight correlations with hypnotic susceptibility. The results of this study show that IBMT can improve the subjects’physiological condition better and help subjects achieve a better balance state. The more is that IBMT don’t depend on subjects’hypnotic susceptibility, it can be used more widely.
