Objective:To study lateral cephalograms of individual normal occlusions of adults in Lanzhou, Gansu, and obtain related fixed-point measurement index. Finally, establish the data base of cursor for people of ethnic Han, in order to provide with references for orthodontic clinical diagnosis analysis, treatment and scientific research.Methods:102current college students (aging from18to24,19.33±2.67in average, with47male and55female) from Gansu Province, with individual normal occlusions, were chosen to take lateral and frontal cephalograms; to fix the marking point and measure the index of all X-ray films by using Winceph8.0. We analyzed the data and compare with corresponding numbers in other regions or among other race to finally establish the data base of cursor for people of ethnic Han, with individual normal occlusions, in Lanzhou, Gansu.Results:We have obtained various data through the methods of Steiner, Tweed, McNamara and Kim, as well as the lengths of maxillary arch in average among adult individuals with normal occlusion.Conclusion:Since local characteristics is obvious, it is necessary to establish the standard of data measurement among Han ethnic adult individuals with normal occlusion in Lanzhou, Gansu, which is beneficial to orthodontic clinical diagnosis and treatment in Gansu.
