Therapeutic Effect Of Surgical Treatment On Type2Diabetes Meltitus

Objective:To observed short-term clinical efficacy of surgical treatment oftype2diabetes mellitus.Methods:There are two cases of this group of patients,denoted as A,B,and have already been diagnosed as type2diabetes mellitus,uppergastrointestinal endoscopy and pathological examination confirm the diagnosisof gastric cancer before operation. Two patients were male; aged43years,54years old, preoperative body mass index are28.4kg/m2,30.1kg/m2,preoperative fasting blood glucose were9.15mmol/L,10.12mmol/L, preopera-tiveglycosylated hemoglobin were7.5,8.4,peroperativefasting insulin were23.7,24.3,C-peptide were2.17,2.32,history of diabetes mellitus for2years,5years.One patient is with dyslipedemia.Insulin had been used to control theblood sugar before the oeration.The operation followed D2distal gastrectomyand Roux-en-Y gastrojejunostomy.Observed the change of fasting plasmaglucose,body mass index(BIM) and glycosylated hemoglobin at3months and6month after the surgeryResults:3month after the surgery,the fasting blood glucose of the twocases of the patients were4.65mmol/L and5.75mmol/L,and6month after thesurgery,the fasting blood glucose were4.00mmol/L and5.16mmol/L,and theinsulin was no longer used to control blood sugar.3month after the surgery,theglycosylated hemoglobin were5.1%and6.0%,and6month after thesurgery,the glycosylated hemoglobin were4.2%and5.3%.Two cases of thepatients both achieved the standard of cure.3month after the surgery,the BMIwere24.2kg/m2and26.1kg/m2,and6month after the surgery,the BMI were24.9kg/m2and25.3kg/m2.One of the patients had bowl obstruction after the surgery, complications,such as anastomotic leakage,anastomotic ulcer, woundinfection, pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis, dumping syndrome andportal vein injury did not occur...
