Objective: Erythropoietin (EPO) has certain protective effect toischemia-reperfusion injury to the brain, heart and kidney, but its role inmultiple organ failure, we know very little about. The purpose of this study wasto investigate the potential role in prevention otitis media EPO organ damage,discusses the underlying mechanism of this process. Observe erythropoietin(EPO) in cardiopulmonary resuscitation of rats after cell apoptosis neurons inthe hippocampus, Bcl-2and the influence of Bax expression.Methods: Male Wistar rat only32, random points, four groups: normalcontrol group (group A), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) model group(group B), EPO low doses interention group (group C), EPO high doseinterention group (D group). Group B, C, D group the suffocation of making ratbreathing cardiac arrest model, model established another cardiopulmonaryresuscitation (CPR) treatment, group C, D group do CPR and treatment weregiven intravenous EPO3000U/kg,5000U/kg; Group A, B group to only veinand dose physiological saline, take four hours after the brain tissue, did HEdyeing, the immunohistochemical method observe each neuron cell apoptosisand Bax expression.Result:B rats, the survival rate is12.9%; C rats, the survival rate is14.3%;Group D rat heart surial was17.3%. Morphological dyeing results HE dyeing:A group of neural cells did not see the obvious morphological changes, and Bgroup of neural cells ischemic changes obviously, cells, like smaller shrinks,nuclear triangular in shape, form, have become pyknotic, nucleoli enrichment.C, D group visible part cell become pyknotic, nucleoli hyperchromatic, but ischemic changes is lighter. In situ apoptosis and Bax express test results:group A see A few positive cells, the rest of the group of positive cells arevisible. B, C, D group was higher than the apoptotic cells prime group Adifference (P <0.01). C, D groups were compared with group B, there isdifference (P <0.01). Group D low number less than positive cells group C,both have a more significant than the poor show sex different (P <0.01).Conclusion: Exogenous erythropoietin can improve the rats aftercardiopulmonary resuscitation of the survival rate. Erythropoietin incardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) process to the brain have protection andthe dosage was positively related; Erythropoietin in cardiopulmonaryresuscitation (CPR) process to the brain protection and cut Bax expression,restrain brain cells on apoptosis.
