Survey And Analysis On Sexal Knowledge And Sexual Health Education Needs Of Patients With Coronary Heart Disease

Objective:The study is to investigate sexal knowledge and sexual health education needs of patients with coronary heart disease,then analyze the reasons of current status.Which can provide references for nurses when they offer sexual health education and help patients establish a correct attitude towards sex and resume sexal life as early as possible.Methods:A self-designed questionnaire was carried out by patients with coronary heart disease in Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital affiliate to Medical College Of Zhejiang University. The questionnaire has been tested with high reliability and validity. Collected datas were analyzed with SPSS19.0statistical software, descriptive analysis, independent samples t-test. one-way ANOVA and non-parametric test were used.Results:1.78patients with coronary heart disease agreed to accept the survey and fill in a questionnaire.78questionnaires returned,and75questionnaires were valid with the efficient response rate of96%.2.The mean score of patients with coronary artery disease about sexal knowledge is 8.52±2.79(5-25),the score of each entry is1.65-1.83. There is a statistically significant difference(P<0.05) in different gender、 education level、 occupation、 monthly income.There is no statistically significant difference(P<0.05)in different age、 payment and residence place.3.The mean score of needs is29.47±6.40(10-40), the most important needs are "the risk of sexal activity"and "the note of sexal activity". The second important needs are "When to resume sexal life?"and "Under what circumstances taboo sexal activity". Needs seores are significant difference from different gender、 age、 education level、 occupation. There is no difference in payment、 monthly income and residence place.4.97%of patients think it is very necessary to receive sexal health education.72%of patients don’t willing to ask health care workers about sexal knowledge.68.5%of patients think the best way to receive sexal health education is health education manual.Conclusions1.Patients with coronary artery disease on overall cognitive level of knowledge is very low,especial women, less educated、 low-income、 farmers and businessman.2.Most of patients want to know sexal knowledge,which indicates they have a high demand for sexal health education,especial man、 young people、 highly educated、 farmers and businessman.3.Most of patients dont willing to ask medical staff about sexal knowledge;Few medical staff initiative to provide sexal health education for patients.4.Health education manual is thought to the best way to provide sexal health education.
