ObjectiveTo research the effects of chrysalis oil on glycometabolism related enzymes activities with diabetic rats, and investigate the mechanism of how to regulate the blood glucose.Methods1.Chrysalis oil was extracted by combination of microwave extraction technology and urea adduction fractionation.Chrysalis oil riches in unsaturated fatty acids such as a-linolenic acid, linoleic acid. And the levels of unsaturated fatty acids were higher than pupa oil which was extracted by traditional methods.2. A total of70male SD rats were randomly divided into seven groups according to the blood glucose:normal control group, diabetic model control group, low dose of chrysalis oil group (4.5ml/kg),medium dose of chrysalis oil group(6.0ml/kg),high dose of chrysalis oil group(7.5ml/kg), metformin positive control group (90mg/kg),flaxseed oil positive control group(6.0ml/kg). The rats were lavaged after building a diabetic model with streptozotocin(STZ). Food and fluid intake were monitored everyday, blood glucose and weight were tested at each weekend, at the end of experiment, starch tolerance test was experimentized, and the levels of hexokinase(HK) and pyruvate kinase(PK) in liver and maltase, sucrase, amylase in intestinal mucosa were observed.Results①After lavaging chrysails oil, diabetic symptoms were ameliorated and blood glucose was gradually declined.②In the starch tolerance test, the PBG and the AUC in all the chrysalis oil groups had a significant decrease.③Chrysalis oil can restrain the activity of a-glucosidase and increase the activities of hexokinase(HK) and pyruvate kinase(PK) in a dose-and-effect relationship.ConclusionChrysalis oil can decrease blood glucose in a dose-and-effect relationship,it can achieve the purpose of decreasing blood glucose by restraining the activity of a-glucosidase and increasing the activities of hexokinase(HK) and pyruvate kinase(PK).
