Objective:To evaluate the feasibility of banding cholangiojejunostomy in pancreatico-duodenectomy.Methods:A new technique named banding cholangiojejunostomy is described, and a retrospective review was conducted of a prospectively collected database, which included24patients who underwent banding cholangiojejunostomy in pancreaticoduodenectomy between March2006and July2011.Results:All patients successfully underwent banding cholangiojejunostomy. Mean operative time was13minutes. Mean overall hospital stay was21.6days. There were no mortalities and no postoperative morbidities directly related to cholangiojejunostomy. At a follow-up period between0.5years and6years, only1patient developed anastomotic stricture because he accidentally removed the T tube by himself2months after operation. No patients had evidence of obstructive jaundice. Conclusion:Banding cholangiojejunostomy is simple, reliable and feasible. |
