Objective:To disclose the effects of two different disinfectants on the accuracy of dental alginate impression. Methods:One hundred empty bottles of articain adrenaline injection were collected as participants, being divided into ten groups(ten bottles for each group).Nine groups for the experimental group, were treated by different methods. One group as blank control group, without any treatment. After different treatments, all the ten groups were taken impression for plaster models, use microscope to read the diameter data of the castings, representative of the outer diameter at the bottom1cm of the bottle. Each measuring result difference and correlation analysis were used for statistical analysis by SPSS18.0software.Results:①1500mg/L NaClO and CaviCide disinfectant disinfection solution regardless of immersion disinfection or spraying disinfection, in effect time has no obvious effect on impression accuracy.②The CaviCide disinfection liquid spraying disinfecting alginate impression43min, appears statistical significance(P<0.05)deformation.③The NaClO disinfectant soaking45min,60min, impression appeared statistically significant (P<0.05) deformation. Conclusion:Either CaviCide or NaClO disinfectants in disinfection effect time, doesn’t affect the accuracy of alginate impressions.1500mg/L NaClO immersion disinfection10-30min and CaviCide spraying treatment of3-23min will not affect the stability of alginate impressions either.
