Objective: To observe the effort of bromogeramine of different concentrations made with potassium alginate impression materials on the physical properties of the self-disinfecting impressionMethods : According the medicine industry standard of China (YY1027-2001), self-disinfecting impression was mixed by bromogeramine with concentrations of 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.2% and 0.4%, respectively. The initial curing time, deformation recovery, compression strain, crushing strength and mobility of impressions was evaluated and statistically analyzed, respectively.Results:The initial curing time, deformation recovery, compression strain ,crushing strength and mobility of self-disinfecting impression with different concentrations of bromogeramine showed no significant difference in comparison with that of the control group (P>0.05), respectively.Conclusion: Alginate impression material mixed with bromogeramine has no effect on the initial curing time, deformation recovery, compression strain, crushing strength and mobility of Self-disinfecting impression. It could be an ideal self-disinfecting impression for clinical use.
