Objective:TO Investigate the efficacy, survival rate and prognostic factors of radiofrequency ablation to primary liver cancer, and summary the indications, the safety and complications of radiofrequency treatment to liver cancer. Methods:Retrospectively analyzing the medical records of the168patients,who were treated in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University during March2007to December2011by applications radiofrequency ablation technology. And this primary liver cancer patients cannot or should not be treated with Surgical treatment.the main way to grasp the Information of the complete ablation rates, Survival time and the main complication of radiofrequency ablation such as pain, the damage to liver function, pleural effusion, Liver abscess and so on.The main software to deal with this data to find the factor that affect the survival rate of patients. Results:The levels of ALT and AST of patients treated with radiofrequency ablation is obviously higher after the first week than before, but two weeks later after the treatment, the ALT and AST levels of most people return to normal.168cases of primary liver cancer patients,252a tumor had dealt with radiofrequency ablation Complete tumor necrosis rate after a single radiofrequency ablation is74.2%(187/252), the complete necrosis rate of these which diameter is less than or equal to3cm is89.36%,it is69.90%for that which diameter is greater than3.0cm and less than5.0cm,and it is29.16%for those which diameters are greater than or equal to5.0cm.1,2,3,4-year cumulative survival rates of patient dealt with RFA were82.1%,70.1%,54.1%,47.0%,among these, the cumulative survival rates of small HCC patients whose tumors diameters are less than or equal to3cm are respectively85.2%,62.8%and55.3%, for1,2,3,4-year.By Single factor analysis, survival rate is relevant to the following seven factors:Clinical stage, Liver function Child-Pugh classification, AFP concentration before treatment, Tumor size, liver Cirrhosis, Whether in conjunction with other methods of treatment, and it is nothing to do with age, gender, tumor number, the number of RFA treatment. RFA postoperative complications include Fever, puncture site pain, skin burns, ascites, Skin sinus formation, pleural injury. The study did not occur with surgery-related deaths. Conclusions:Radiofrequency ablation is a safe, effective liver cancer treatment, for patients with early liver cancer, RFA has a similar treatment efficacy compared with surgical removal. It is also an effective treatment for cases of advanced liver cancer, liver cancer recurrence. The treatment efficacy of RFA to liver cancer is mainly with the following factors:clinical stage, Liver function Child-Pugh classification, AFP concentration before treatment, tumor size, liver Cirrhosis, Whether in conjunction with other methods of treatment.
