| Objective: To investigate the epidemiology characteristics of the patients withend stage renal diseases under hemodialysis in our hospital. Methods: In this retrospective study, the564patients with end stage renaldiseases who got confirmed diagnosis in People’s Hospital of Jilin Province andwere registered in Hemodialysis Centre were enrolled in January2006-December2010. The data of patients with end stage renal diseases were got bymedical records, consulting face to face or by telephone. The investigated itemsincluded sex status, age status, marital status, education status, employmentstatus, registered residence, primary disease, dialysis frequency, dialysis method, complications, dialysis duration and prognosis. Results: There were564patients under hemodialysis, and the numbers ofpatients were increased year by year in2006–2010.1. Sex status: there were332male cases, accounting for58.87%and232female cases, accounting for41.13%.2.Age status: the age extent is17–87years old, and the average age is(50.23±19.65) years old, the median age is62years old. The most case werewith age of51-60years old, which were142cases, accounting for25.18%;secondly were with age of61-70years old and51-60years old, which wererespectively113cases, accounting for20.03%and93cases,accounting for16.49%.3.Marital status: The most case were married, which were485cases,accounting for85.99%; secondly were widowed and divorced, which were respectively47cases,accounting for8.33%and21cases,accounting for3.72%.4. Primarydisease:The were247cases (43.79%) with glomerulonephritis,95cases (16.84%)with diabetic mellitus,78cases (13.83%) with hypertensive nephropathy,36cases (6.38%) with interstitial nephritis,31cases (5.50%) with obstructivenephropathy and77cases(13.65%) with other primary disease (including agnogenic diseases). The proportion of glomerulonephritis had a decreasedtendency, while the proportion of diabetic mellitus and hypertensivenephropathy had an increased tendency.8.Dialysis method: There were325cases (57.62%) under merely hemodialysis,174cases (30.85%) underhemodialysis plus intermittent hemodialysis filtration,65cases (11.52%)under hemodialysis plus intermittent blood perfusion.9.Dialysis frequency:There were8cases (1.42%) under hemodialysis once weekly,273cases (48.40%) under haemodialysis twice weekly;283cases (50.18%) underhemodialysis three times weekly. The number of cases under hemodialysis threetimes weekly was increased gradually in2006-2010.10.Complications: Therewere493cases (87.41%) with hypertension,294cases (52.13%) once with heartfailure,63cases (11.17%) with gastrointestinal bleeding,145cases (25.71%)with uremia,512cases (90.78%) with anemia,291cases (51.60%) withostealgia, and427cases (75.71%) with calcium and phosphorus metabolismdisorder. Dialysis duration: The shortest duration was0.58year (7month), andthe longest duration was14years. The average duration was (3.64±4.85) years, and median duration was2.67years. The most case were with duration of belowone year, which were158cases (28.01%); secondly were with duration of1-2years and2-3years, which were respectively108cases (19.15%) and112cases(19.86%).11.Prognosis: Prognosis were including385cases (68.26%)still under hemodialysis,4cases (0.71%) with kidney transplantation,46cases(8.16%) to transfer to another hospital,54cases (9.57%) changed toperitoneal dialysis,11cases (1.95%) giving up treatment, and64cases (11.35%)with death.Conclusion1. The primary disease were glomerulonephritis, diabetic mellitusand hypertensive nephropathy, The proportion of glomerulonephritis has adecreased tendency, while the proportion of diabetic mellitus and hypertensivenephropathy has a increased tendency;2.The main dialysis method ishemodialysis, and main dialysis frequency is2-3times per week;3. The main Complications are hypertension, anemia and calcium and phosphorusmetabolism disorder. |
