Objective: To observe the variations of spectral curves for pig freshmuscle tissue, its specimen fixed by formalin and its specimen embedded byparaffin, research their variation law, and lay a foundation for the research onhuman tissue hereafter. Methods: Carrying out GSI scanning for the pig fresh muscle tissue, itsspecimen fixed by formalin and its specimen embedded by paraffinsuccessively by using GE Discovery CT750HD, then drawing keV—CTcurves using scanning results, and analyzing the curves and relative datumobtained in scanning finally. Results:Under the same situation, there are no striking differences inthe keV—CT curves and their relative datum for different specimens used inthree series of tests. The datum obtained from the three series of tests havestatistics meaning, namely there are differences in keV—CT curves obtainedfrom the three series of tests. Conclusion:The differences in keV—CT curves from the tests result fromthe variables in the test,i.e. formalin—fixed¶ffin—embedded. There isthe law to be followed for this kind of differences. In addition, further researchhas hope to quantify it and apply it in research of clinical diseases. Objective: Draw keV—CT curves for known pathological type specimensof lung cancer which were embedded by paraffin in advance by applying thetechnology of CT spectral imaging, research generality of spectral curves forthe same and different kind pathological type specimens of lung cancer, anddiscuss their differences. Methods: Collect the54cases of patients at random who were alloperated for cutting lung cancer in the hospital from the month Oct.2010to themonth Oct.2011. The cut lumps from these patients said above were all sent tothe department of pathology according to standard processing rules andmethods in carrying out formalin—fixed and paraffin—embedded successively, and prepare embedded specimens and keep them in the specimen storeroom ofthe departmet of pathology finally. Among of them, glandular cancer patientsare19cases, squamous cancer those are19cases, and small cell type cancerof lung those are16cases. Draw the keV—CT curves after the pathologicalspecimens said above were divided and scaned by using GE Discovery CT750HD. Finally shape of the curves and datum get from scanning were concludedand analyzed. Results: Influnced by formalin—fixed and paraffin—embedded, thekeV—CT curves for lung cancer specimen are not striking differences with thekeV—CT curves and their relative datum for general soft tissue. Meanwhilethe spectral curves for different pathological type specimens of lung cancerhave statistics differences,i.e. the keV—CT curves based on the three testshave differences. Conclusion: CT spectral imaging technology as a new start of imagingdiagosis is more and more applied in every field of disease diagosis. The analysis for keV—CT curves of different pathological specimens of lungcancer has certain meaning for us to understand the differences of CT spectralimagings for different pathological cancer of lung, and also to providereferences for the similar work hereafter.
