Serum BMP2、BMP4、BMP5、BMP6’s Changes And Meaning In Malignant Tumor Patients

AIM:BMP(Bone morphogenetic proteins,BMPs) belongs to the transforming growth factor-β(TGF-beta) the family,has been found in30kinds of BMPs.Some studies have confirmed BMPs have relationship with malignant tumor formation and development.The goals of this preliminary investigation were to determine whether BMP2,4,5,6could be measured predictably in the blood of severeal cancer humans, and serum BMP2,BMP4,BMP5,and BMP6’s changes and meaning in malignant tumor patients.Combined with previous research results,focusing on serum BMP2,4,5,6for the diagnosis of primary hepatic carcinoma(PHC).Methods:All blood samples were collected from hospitalized patients of the First Hospital of shanxi Medical University,between September2010and marth2011and nine healthy human.Seventy-six malignant tumor patients were included, demographic and clinical information was obtained,19with evidence of hepatocellular carcinoma,11with pancreatic carcinoma,24with stomach carcinoma,9with colon carcinoma,13with lung carcinoma. Serum BMP2,4,5,6were detected and quantified using commercially available ELISA kits. Serum AFP was quantified by Radio immunoassay (RIA).Results:1.There was no statistically significant(P>0.05) in six groups of age and gender.2.Serum BMP2,BMP4,BMP5,BMP6in the malignant tumor group and lower than the normal level of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);primary hepatic carcinoma group serum BMP2,4,5,6and the rest of the malignant tumor group were statistically significant difference (P<0.05)3.BMP2diagnosis of PHC84.21%senxitivity,specific degrees for50.00%,34.21%correct index,the positie predictie alue was32.70%,negetie predictie alue was91.6%.4.BMP4diagnosis of PHC89.50%sensitivity,specific degree for40.90%,30.40%correct index,the positie predictie alue was30.40%,negatie predictie alue was93.10%.5.BMP5diagnosis of PHC78.9%sensitivity,specific degrees for54.50%,33.40%correct index,the positie predictie alue was34.8%,negatie predictie alue was92.30%.6.BMP6diagnosis of PHC73.7%sensitivity,specific degrees for72.70%,46.40%correct index,the positie predictie alue was43.80%,negatie predicate alue was90.60%. 7.AFP diagnosis of PHC52.63%sensitivity,specific degrees for69.70%,22.33%correct index,the positie predictie alue was33.33%,negatie predicitie alue was83.60%.8.Primary liver cancer group BMP2in serum,BMP4,BMP5,BMP6and AFP no correlation(P>0.05).Conclusion:1、Serum BMP2,4,5,6in the malignant tumor group and lower than the normal level of the control group, BMP2,4,5,6may have the effect of inhibiting tumor cell growth.2、BMP2,4,5,6for primary hepatocellular carcinoma with certain diagnostic value,where in the BMP6of the highest diagnostic value.
