Background:With the high incidence of diabetes, good glycemic control is becoming akey problem in the long-term management of diabetic patients. Previousresearches show that the glycemic control of diabetic patients in China is poor, only a quarter (25.9%) having achieved the target standard(HbA1c <6.5%).Objective:To analyze the control status of glucose control and its related factors inT2DM patients.Methods:800T2DM outpatients of Xijing Hospital in2010and from July to November in2011and1488cases (T2DM outpatients or inpatients) only treatedwith oral hypoglycemic agents in3third-grade class-A hospitals in theNorthenwest from July to December in2010were included in this study.Questionnaire survey and field measurement were employed. After thequestionnaire was filled in, the results were validated after being checkedwithout a hitch. According to HbA1c levels, all patients were divided intoHbA1c <6.5%group,6.5%-7.0%group,7.0%-9.0%group and≥9.0%group.Results:1. Only36.84%of T2DM outpatients takeparting in the survey of XijingHospital in2010had good glucose control(HbA1c<7.0%). The rate in2011was30.25%, declined by6.59%comparing with that in2010.2. In1488patients in three hospitals of Shaanxi Province, percentage ofpatients with HbA1c<7.0%is32.33%. In different HbA1c groups, levels of TC,TG and LDL increased with the elevation of HbA1c. Compared with HbA1c <6.50%group, the prevalence of lipid metabolism disorder(P<0.05)weresignificantly higher in groups with HbA1c=7.0%-9.0%and HbA1c≥9.0%.3. The ROC analysis demonstrated that the duration of diabetes, FBG, TG,TC, LDL were related with glucose control in both men and women. For theoptimal operating point of the disease duration, FBG, TG and LDL, there was adisparity in specificity and sensitivity between men and women. Themulti-factor Logistic stepwise regression analysis displayed that the diseaseduration, FBG and TG were the optimal combined indices for men, and thedisease duration, FBG and LDL for women. Conclusion:1. The overall glycemic control of T2DM patients is not good.2. TC, TG and LDL levels are associated with poor glycemic control.3. The combination of common clinical Indicators, such as duration ofdiabetes, FBG, TG, TC and LDL could predict the poor glycaemic-control inT2DM patients.
