Objective:To investigate the survival condition and prognostic factorsof surgical treatment for patients with hepatic metastases fromcolorectal carcinoma. Methods:Clinical and prognostic data of74patients with hepaticmetastases from colorectal carcinoma undergoing surgery who were admittedin Fujian Medical college attached Xiehe Hospital from September2005toSeptember2011were analyzed retrospectively. The control group includesthe prognostic data of30patients without operation treatment.TheKaplan-Meier method and long-rank test were used for bivariatecomparisons.Multivariate analysis was done by the Cox regression model.Results:Among74patients who underwent surgery,40patients were foundto have synchronous hepatic metastasis and34patients were found to havemetachronous hepatic metastases.ALL patients who were based on theprimary lesion radical resection underwent regular or irregularhepatectomy. The1,3and5-year survival rates were83.3%.51.4%and24.3%respatectomy.And complications occurred in8patients.The1,2and3-year survival rates of the pations without operation treatmentwere60.0%.20.0%and0.0%respatectomy.Univariate analysis relatedthat the pations who underwent surgery live longer and the sex,the age,The site of primary tumor, the number and size of liver metastases, theoperation opportunity of liver metastasis resection were not infect withthe prognosis of colorectal cancer patients with liver metastasis(P>0.05);the expression of preoperative CEA,the differentiation extent of primarytumor, the TNM stage of primary tumor, status of lymphnode metastasis andthe distribution of Liver metastatic were all significant factors forprognosis after surgery(P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that thedifferentiation extent of primary tumor,The primary tumor TNM stage andthe distribution of Liver metastatic were independent prognostic factorsfor colorectal patients with liver metastasis. Conclusion:The patients with hepatic metastases from colorectalcarcinoma should undergo Liver resection positively to prolong thesurvival time and improve the prognosis.the higher differentiation extent, earlier stage of clinical pathology, limiter distribution of livermetastatic, the better of the prognosis.
