In the paper, based on fieldwork of geology,we studied mineral composition chemicalcomposition membrane material composition inner secondary pores structure and texture ofsweet-scented stone through using modern testing methods,such as observingmicroscope,EMPA XRD SEM IR and DTA.To understand the drug safety, the heavy metalcontent,bacteria count and total coliform numbers must be examined and acid-soluble andwater soluble characteristics are analyzed. The conclusions are as follows:1The mineral composition is mainly calcite up to95.2%~99.0%. The basic structuretypes of Xichuan sweet-scented stone are colloid form and filled with crystal cave. It islocated in the calcite crystals that micro-structure was from secondary pores and mineralcleavage. The secondary pores of calcite crystal were aroma’s storage space and calcite’scleavage was aroma’s overflow channel. Due to tight cleavage of calcite as aroma’s overflowchannel the aroma of sweet-scented stone is lasting long. Membrane material composition ofsecondary pores is iron and manganese oxides thus resulting in sparkling brown red color ofsweet-scented stone. The common colors are white, yellow, brown, etc.; was glass-pearlluster, fine texture; mainly transparent-translucent, refractive index of1.48to1.66,birefringence0.172; streak color is colorless. Mohs hardness of3; average density of2.560g/cm3, Polarizing microscope is characterized by colorless, clear rhombic cleavage patternseen polysynthetic twin flash protrusions obvious, interference colors for the senior white.2The background values of heavy metal elements in mineral medicine are: Lead (Pb),Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn) Cadmium (Cd) and Chromium (Cr) are in accord with heavy metalcontent of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of the People’s Republic of Chinaindustry standard medicinal plants and preparation of import and export of green industrystandard. The total number of test bacteria and total coliform results are:12.5(cfu.g-1),32.89 (MPN/100ml) which comply with the relevant industry standards.3After the acid-soluble silica,Xi’chuan Sweet-scented stone was insoluble residue.Water-soluble density of Ca2+increased by nearly10times. Calcium ions can activate factorparameters in the clotting process, and the parameters into the fibrin cross-linkingpolymerization.The significant increase in Ca2+has an important effect on hemostasis whichmay be the main reason of the hemostasis. Hemostasis stone contains Mg, Be, Sr and otherelements,which may be play a hemostatic efficacy through channels such as bloodcomponents directly,and there are some trace elements of the clotting factors in playing a roleand participating in the activities of various enzymes and hormones on the bleedingcoagulation process.4Xichuan Sweet-scented and hemostasis stone formation need harsh conditions, andrarely distributes in nature, which has tremendous values to the collection and medicalprospects.
