Fracture of the normal healing process to terminate is called nonunion,which is one of the most common and important complication in the orthopedicsurgery. With the development of medical conditions and skills, the fracture curerate has increased significantly,but most of the orthopedic surgeon is stillplagued by nonunion,and the gold standard for nonunions is cancellous autograft.We had invent Reconstitued bone xenograft(RBX),a new bone graftmaterial,which has been shown to have the same efficacy with cancellousautograft in the preliminary clinical trial research.This research aims to study thelong-term clinical efficacy of RBX, analyze the common cause of nonunion,andexplore the application of information management in clinical research.Objective: To evaluate the long-term efficacy of RBX in non-infectednonunions.Methods:(1)Retrospective the patients who Suffered from non-infectednonunions and treated in our hospital,from2000.1-2006.12.Collect nonunionsite and methods of fixation,follow-up healing rate and functional recoverycondition.(2)build a data analysis system with EXCEL, statistical analysis ofthese data.Results: The average follow-up time of these cases was89.3months(60-131months). Statistic shows that the healing rate, DASH score,Harris score and AKS scoreis no different between RBX and cancellous autograft. Noneimmune rejection cases was reported in this research.Conlusion:(1)1Treatment of nonunion with RBX has many advantages,such asadequate sources, high healing rate,a nice biological compatibility,it can be usedin clinic instead of autologous bone.(2) Iatrogenic and patient factors are themain factors of nonunion.Prevention should be taken in the early time of injury.Useing reasonable surgical and postoperative management can improve thehealing rate of nonunion.(3)EXCEL can be easily used in clinical research andhas many advantages.(4)Using the management of information technology inclinical studies can improve the efficiency and reduce costs.
