With its many advantages including safety and painless, effectiveness and non-destructiveness, and stimulation in deep tissue, magnetic stimulation has been widely used in regulation of human neurological function, enhancement of human immunity and rehabilitation therapy, and so on. However, as human being is a complex system also and different types of magnetic fields have different effects, it’s necessary to deeply research the magnetic field biological effects and mechanisms in human being. It’s more significant to explore the influence of magnetic field on human body, for all the bioelectrical such as electroencephalogram (EEG) and electrocardiogram (ECG) are involved in 0~300 Hz, which are the same with the frequency range of extremely low frequency pulsed magnetic field (ELF PMF). Therefore, EEG was employed to study the effects of magnetic field on human brain in this paper. This thesis was to change EEG’s rhythm and induce brain’s resonance effects through extremely low frequency pulsed magnetic stimulation, and then affect the whole life activities and functional status of human body. The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1) ELF magnetic field of 1 HZ and 10 mT was adopted to stimulate the brain’s occipital. Meanwhile, the comparative experiments of spontaneous EEG by ELF PMF and comparative experiments of auditory evoked potential(AEP) by ELF PMF were designed.(2) EEG data before and after magnetic stimulation were analyzed with kinds of signal processing methods including EEG power spectrum, magnetic stimulation induced desynchronization / synchronization (MSI-ERD/ERS), sample entropy and temporal analysis of AEP. It’s proved that the ELF PMF brought about the brain’s MSI-ERS in lower frequency band and MSI-ERD in higher frequency band, the EEG activities decreased and the complexity was reduced. By the comprehensive analysis of temporal, frequency and spatial domains, it’s concluded that magnetic field could induce EEG to change in the same direction with stimulation rhythm and to shift to induced rhythm, and that is the so-called brain’s resonance effects. Furthermore, the brain went into the suppressed state.(3) The physiological mechanism of magnetic field affected on brain was studied on the basis of above experiment. The theory and models of magnetic field resonance effects were investigated, which proved a reference to fully explore the biological effects of magnetic field. The models are consisted of membrane coherent vibration model and cell transmembrance conduction system model.Above all, this paper explained the existence of magnetic stimulation induced resonance effects and interpreted that the brain could be inhibited by the role of magnetic field, which enriched the theory of magnetic induced resonance effects and laid a theoretical foundation for the clinical practice and research exploration.
