Along with the development of agricultural technology andthe adjustment of agricultural structure, the demand of agriculturalmachinery in agricultural production increases ceaselessly, new typeagricultural machinery are being produced forth constantly, which alsoaccelerate the development of agriculture. However, because our marketeconomy is not mature and market order is not standardized yet, andsome agricultural machinery has been sold to farmers before suitabilitytest after designed and manufactured, which not only brought economiclosses to farmers but also influenced agricultural production. Due to thesuitability of agricultural machinery related to the protection of farmers’benefit and stabilization of agricultural production, more and moreattentions were paid to it, especially the implementation of Law of thePeople’s Republic of China on Promotion of Agricultural Mechanizationwill make it raise to a higher unprecedented level. Owing to the restriction of reality conditions over many years, we lacked a deep studyon the evaluation method of suitability of agricultural machinery, thuscurrently there has not been a unified and standardized evaluation methodin our country, which brought a certain trouble on the evaluation process,so it becomes an urgent need to do some research on it. The subject was apart of the project of‘‘Integration Study on evaluation method ofrotocultivator machinery suitability technology”． By studying theevaluation method of totary tiller suitability,the aim Was to set up theevaluation method of totary tiller suitability．It made an example validatethe evaluation method，and offered instructional meanings to set up theevaluation method of other agricultural machinery suitability．By investigating,it analyzed three factors that influence thesuitability of totary tiller,they were Regional Characteristic，former-stubble crop,soil water content.．According to the principles ofmaking evaluation indexes of machine performance，four indexes that ptilling depth, vegetation cover ratio,Soil crushing ratio and surfacesmoothness were presented on the basis of consultation．Meanwhile，their meanings and mensurations were expounded，and their weights weredetermined with the Delphi and AHP methods． Through effectcoefficient，it made integrated evaluation on the indexes．As an exampleof1GQN-180totary tiller suitability evaluation, it validated theevaluation indexes and method．...
