| In this study, Wengchang Chickens, Qingyuan Partridge Chickens and HuainanPartridge Chickens were selected as experimental objectives. Two-factor repeated3×2experimental design was adopted to study fattening performance of local breedschickens, effect of fat-related traits on levels of dietary energy in the different stagesof fattening and LPL (lipoprotein lipase) mRNA expressive law in differentindigenous chickens, which provided significant basis for fattening in commercialchickens. The results demonstrated that:1. The body weight (BW) of Huainan Partridge Chickens was significantlylower than Wengchang Chickens and Qingyuan Partridge Chickens in20weeks(P<0.05). Through fattening in three local breeds, the BW of Wenchang Chickensincreased by5.0%after3weeks of fattening with the low energy level, followed bysignificant decreases; during the period of high-energy feeding, the BW increase isnot significant.After3weeks of fattening with the high-and-low energy level, the BWof Qingyuan Chicken increased by15.5%and17.6%, respectively. Then showed thetrend of decline. After one week of fattening with the high-and-low energy level, the BW of Huainan Partridge chickens increased by33.3%and28.2%, respectively. Then the BW remained essentially unchanged. The BW of local breeds between thetwo energy levels were not significant (P>0.05) in various fattening phases.2. The abdominal fat percentage (AFP) in various local breeds weresignificantly (P<0.05), which the AFP of4.1%in Wenchang Chickens wassignificantly higher than that of Qingyuan Partridge Chickens (3.4%), while the AFPof Qingyuan Partridge Chicken was significantly higher than that of HuainanPartridge chicken (2.6%). In Qingyuan Partridge Chickens, the AFP in high energygroup was significantly higher than that of the low energy group (P<0.05). InHuainan Partridge chickens, the AFP during fattening phases were significantlyhigher than before fattening phases (P<0.05). Effects of the AFP on the fattening ofWenchang Chickens were not significant (P>0.05) in different energy levels.3. During20weeks, the content of thigh intramuscular fat(IMF) in QingyuanPartridge Chickens was the highest (P<0.05).After2weeks of fattening with Lowenergy level, hind leg muscles fat content (IMF) of Wenchang Chickens wassignificantly higher (P<0.05) than that of Huainan Partridge Chickens and QingyuanPartridge Chickens (P<0.05).After one week of fattening with low enengy level, legmuscle fat content (IMF) in Huainan Partridge chickens was significantly higher (P<0.05).4. By the analysis of LPL mRNA expression in various tissues, in Wengchangchickens, the levels of LPL mRNA relative expression in abdominal fat and liverreached to the highest after the fattening of2weeks(P<0.05); LPL mRNA relativeexpression in breast muscle decreased during the fattening period; relativeexpression of LPL mRNA in leg muscle decreased significantly in the later period offattening, respectively. In Qingyuan Partridge chickens, relative expression of LPLmRNA in liver in the2weeks of fattening was significantly higher than that of therest of fattening periods(P<0.05),and the fattening effect of low energy was superiorto that of high energy. In Huainan Partridge chickens, relative expression of LPLmRNA in abdominal fat increased significantly in the high-energy group by the endof3weeks fattening, while the low-energy group was not significantly during thefattening periods. In terms of local breeds of chickens fattening stage tissueexpression of LPL mRNA relative importance of the indexes, Qingyuan PartridgeChickens liver as a reference, you can select the organization, its low-energy diet fedfor2weeks the best fattening; Wenchang Chickens liver was chosen reference toorganization, its low-energy diet fed fattening one week is better; Huainan Partridgechickens abdominal fat, you can choose as a reference organization, its high-energydiet fed fattening better in3weeks.5. Coefficient of correlation between the LPL mRNA relative expression ofabdominal fat and content of plasma triglycerides in Huainan Partridge chickenswas0.764, which was significantly positively correlated (P<0.05); correlationcoefficient was0.755with the AFP, which had significantly positive correlation(P<0.05). Correlation coefficient between LPL mRNA relative expression of liverand content of plasma triglycerides in Wenchang Chickens was0.687,which showeda significantly positive correlation(P<0.05). |
