| The termite are harmful to agriculture and forestry crops, houses, furniture, reservoirs, rivers and streams dike, national defence, electric cable, and so on. In this study, the termite’s damage situation and control measure in Bengbu region were investigated. And the objective is to obtain an effective system control measure in this region. As the results showed, there are2families, belonging to2families and3genera. There are Reticulitermes:R. labralis, R.chinensis, R.pendaculabiali, R.affinis, R.curvatus; Odontotermes:O. ontanellus; O. formosanus; Coptotermes:C. shanghaiensis. R. labralis and R.chinensis distribute in Bengbu and Huaiyuan, Guzhen,Wuhe. The R. affinis distribute in Zhaoying village of Huaiyuan. The O. formosanus and O. fontanellus distribute in Dahong Mountain of Huaiyuan, which caused wide and serious damage in Bengbu forest. The C. shanghaiensis was introduced into Bengbu City from Shunde City of Guangdong province via wooden packing container in2010. Through the statistics of termite’s mature groups fly outside from2007to2010in Bengbu City,91houses in2007,49houses in2009,79houses in2010. Termite often destroys wooden doorframes windows and door pocket in this region. Recently more and more people are likely to choose valued wood for internal decoration of building, and these wood materials provide abundant food for termite.Since2007, Chlorpyrifos, Bifenthrin and imidacloprid were applied to control termite in Bengbu City by pressured injection method. Fipronil was used to control termite in2009and hexaflumuron (IPM lure system) were adopted to control termite in2010. Above control measures showed an obviously suppression to termite population. The Re-control ratio showed as following:Hexaflumuron (IPM lure system)<Fipronil<Imidacloprid <Chlorpyrifos<Bifenthrin. Bifenthrin was the worst to control termite. Especially, the above-ground station (IPM lure system) showed a good results to control termite in recently two years in Benbu. The advantages above-ground station (IPM lure system) are highly effective, an environment-friendly, integrated control, whereas the disadvantage is consuming manpower and material resources. |
