Research On Reproduction And Pollination Biology Of Five Species Of Lonicera

The pass biological research used five species of honeysuckle in Jilin LongwanNational Nature Reserve,including Lonicera praeflorens Batalin，L.monantha Nakai，L.edulis Turcz.，L.chrysantha Turcz.，L.maackii(Rupr.) Maxim., and the results showthat:1. As significant difference in habitat, flowering season, and floweringmorphology was observed between five kinds of honeysuckle species, it is veryconvenient to use these characteristics to distinguish a wide variety of honeysuckle.2. There are also some differences in flowering season pollinators between fivehoneysuckle plant, early flowering honeysuckle and single-flower Lonicera mainpollinators are local bees Megachile spissula Cockerell and Syritta orientalisMacquart, while pollinators of Lonicera edulis, yellow flowers of Lonicera maackiiare Italian bees, and the local flower-visiting insects still play an important role.3. Seed set rate of five kinds of honeysuckle plants which was artificial pollinatedwith same strain of different flowers was lower than the plants which was artificialpollinated with different strains of different flowers, and the germination rates of thefirst treatment group were still lower than the second treatment group; the most pollenviability happened in the second hour to the fourth hour, and then significantlydeclined in the second day, at last there was no grant in the third day; pollen ovuleratio (P/O) experimental results showed, a single flower honeysuckle P/O value was297.788which belongs to the facultative self-pollination type, the other four LoniceraP/O values were between717.673and2372.418which belong tofacultativecross-pollination type. These results indicate that the five kinds ofhoneysuckle mainly belong to the cross-pollination type, but with the nature of themixed mating breeding system.4. Early flowering of some flowers floral variation honeysuckle Lonicera edulis,Lonicera edulis fruit variation was found and the ratio was higher than other flowers,and the characteristics of variation showed a trend of double fruit.5. Five species of Lonicera in evolution have their own characteristics, thebiological characteristics of L.chrysantha Turcz.，L.maackii(Rupr.) Maxim. was stable.Flowers and fruits of L.edulis Turcz. Variation, reflect the unstable stage in biologicalevolution, trend to double flowers and fruits shape. Lonicera praeflorens Batalin eafter flowering, leaf growth mechanism in the niche on the morning of the season hasa special evolutionary significance. L.monantha Nakai rare plants may be related toonly one fruit seed number.
