The main way of propagation are division and transplant, the extensive cuttingpropagation is used only in some areas,the survival rate and the seedlings quality are poor.westudied the cutting propagation techniques and the rooting mechanism of medicineChrysanthemum morifolium,the main conclusions are as follows:1. In the upper part of C.morifolium ‘Dayangju’、C.morifolium ‘Gongju’(including toppingand not topping), the beginning rooting days、maximum root length、average root length、totalroot number and rooting rate showed good. From the root index and the index of the rooteffect to see, more than the upper part of not topping in the C.morifolium ‘Dayangju’andC.morifolium ‘Gongju’ cuttings for propagation material effect best;The upper part of nottopping and central cuttings of C.morifolium ‘Xiaoyangju’showed good.The composite matrix in the overall rooting effect was stronger than the single matrix;the single matrix of coarse sand, fine sand could help root elongating and root numberincreasing, but rooting rate lower, garden soil and peat behaved in the opposite. In theComposite matrix, the garden soil: peat (1:1) and fine sand: peat (1:1) is more favorable forthe medicinal chrysanthemum cuttings rooting.Every fertilization treatment was better than the comparison on the various indicators,itwas evident that propagation reasonable application of fertilizer in medicine chrysanthemumcuttings have a positive effect on high quality seedling cultivation. In the various Fertilizertreatment,compound fertilizer4(N:P:K=17:17:17)always effected best.2. In the medicine chrysanthemum cuttings rooting process, the content of soluble sugarplummeted, after a slight increase in the beginning, The decline was mainly due to in thebeginning soluble sugar for cuttings adventitious roots induced、germination and elongation,after adventitious roots generated soluble sugar consumption reduce cut down and the contenthas a slow recovery.POD, because of its dual role to enhance the resistance and the regulation of growth, allcultivars, because of their own resilience and different rooting ability, which led to its curve isinconsistent in the process of cuttings rooting. From the results, there are Strong ability towithstand adversity and weak in rooting between C.morifolium ‘yizhongdabaiju’andC.morifolium ‘Gongju’, and C.morifolium ‘Dayangju’and C.morifolium ‘Xiaoyangju’, are onthe contrary. But the activity of POD had a period of time decline to provide the conditions for the increase of IAA content before various cultivars of medicine chrysanthemum cuttingstaking root, thus facilitating the induction and germination of adventitious roots.In all cultivars,the trend of PPO activity was more consistent, before adventitious rootsbreakthroughing in the epidermis, the PPO activity continued to reduce, and PPO activitybegan to increase at the adventitious root elongation phase, it was visible the low activity ofPPO contributed to adventitious root induction, the high activity of PPO contributee to theadventitious root elongation.IAAO activity variation of C.morifolium ‘Dayangju’, C.morifolium ‘Xiaoyangju’ andC.morifolium ‘Gongju’ was more consistent, was reduce at adventitious root inductionphase.It was In favor of adventitious root induction by increasing IAA content.Adventitiousroot elongation phase, the IAAO activity wavy changes in order to maintain the stability of theIAA content. The IAAO activity of C.morifolium ‘Yizhongdabaiju’ was in the sharp rise atbeginning, then its activity plummeted during adventitious root induction, germination andelongation stages.3. Anatomical cross section of medicine chrysanthemum stems layered epidermis, cortex,phloem, cambium, xylem, pith and medullary rays. The medicine chrysanthemum cuttingsrooting are induced root primordia type. Callus was not found in the cuttings rooting. Rootprimordia was located in intersection of medullary rays and cambium. Root primordia formedrapidly, the cambium cell division after cutting two days, Cytoplasm becomed thickens, cellspacked tightly, then dividing cells increased, which formed meristem clumps, and thusdifferentiated of adventitious root primordia. Outward root primordium differentiated into ablunt conical shape of the growth cone and the root cap, which dissolved the cortical cells,breakthroughed epidermisand formed adventitious roots, and inward differentiated phloemand xylem, which directly connect the phloem and xylem of cuttings.
