This experiment was conducted to determine the effect of different levels of molybdenum on routine blood test, the metabolism of free radical mitochondrial and erythrocyte membrane, the activities of enzyme in erythrocyte membrane and the content of heavy metal in tissues from goats.27goats were randomly assigned to three different treatments. Treatments consisted of control (no additional Mo, group Ⅰ) and high molybdenum (Mo15mg·kg-1, group Ⅱ, Mo45mg·kg-1, group Ⅲ) from [(NH4)6Mo7O24·4H2O]. The goats were reared for50days under normal condition. Blood samples were collected on days0,10,20,30,40and50to determine the routine blood test, Tissue sample were collected on days0,25and50to determine the contents and activities of mitochondrial in the kidney and tissue change of the influence of the Mo, Cu, Fe, Zn contents from goats. The values of RBC, HGB and MCH were tended to decrease with the increasing of the experimental period. The activities of the enzymes T-AOC, SOD, and CAT were significantly decreased (P<0.05) of high molybdenum groups after25day compare with control group. The MDA, NO contents, NOS activities were significantly increased (P<0.05) of high molybdenum groups after25day. The values of RBC, HGB and MCH were tended to decrease with the increasing of the molybdenum level. When the control group was compared with each of the two high molybdenum group, the activities of the T-AOC, SOD, and CAT were significantly decreased (P<0.05) appeaered for group Ⅱ and group Ⅲ during days25~50. the MDA, NO contents, NOS activities were significantly increased (P<0.05)in groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ than that in control group from25day onwards. The activities of the erythrocyte membrane enzymes GSH-Px, T-SOD, CAT, GST T-AOC, ATPase and AKP were significantly decreased (P<0.05) of high molybdenum groups; the MDA contents, XOD and LDH activities were significantly increased (P<0.05) of high molybdenum groups. When the control group was compared witho high molybdenum groups, the activities of the GSH-Px, T-SOD, CAT, GST, T-AOC, ATPase and AKP were significantly decreased (P<0.05) appeaered for group Ⅱ and group Ⅲ during days40~50. the MDA contents, XOD and LDH activities were significantly increased (P<0.05) in high molybdenum groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ than that in control group from40day onwards. The content of Mo in erythrocyte, kidney, cardiac muscle, lung, spleen, hair and muscle were significantly increased (P<0.05) of high molybdenum groups. The Cu content of kidney, cardiac muscle, lung, spleen and muscle were significantly increased (P<0.05) of high molybdenum groups. The Fe and Zn contents were not statistical significant (P>0.05) of high molybdenum groups from tissue samples. The results showed that high molybdenum impaired antioxidant function, increased free radical contents of mitochondrial in the kidney from goats. obstructed energy metabolization of the The kidney was finally injuried. high molybdenum impaired antioxidant function, increased free radical contents and obstructed energy metabolization of enzyme in erythrocyte membrane from goats. The function of erythrocyte membrane was finally injuried. The injuried erythrocyte was increased. The lifetime of erythrocyte was decreased. The content of Mo in tissues were significantly increased.
