A series of2sides of experiments were conducted to investigate the immune and antioxidative function effects of HFP.This experiments discussed immunological study from the immune organs, lymphocyte proliferation, cytokine production, SOD, CAT, MDA in the blood serum and hepar of broilers in all aspects by in vitro and vivo, it will be verified the practical application of HFP in vivo tests.First Studies on Extraction of HFP and its Effect on the growth performance in broilersIn this experiment, the water extraction and ethanol precipitation was employed to the Polysaccharides from Hericium caput-medusae (Bun.:Fr) Pers Fermentation Extractum. Study on crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, crude ash, moisture, extractive without nitrogen of HFP. HFP was added to the basic diet of broilers. All test groups were fed the basic diet containing different concentrations of HFP (1000mg/kg,3000mg/kg,5000mg/kg). Control group was fed the basic diet, Test period is Twenty-eight days. The result showed that the extraction rate of HFP is17.13%, the yield of HFP is11.88%. crude protein is15.94%, crude fat is1.22%、crude fiber is0%, crude ash is8.79%, moisture is6.58%, extractive without nitrogen of HFP is67.46%。HFP had no effect on the growth performance. The adding quantity is3000mg/kg, the average daily gain and feed conversion ratio were significantly lower than those in control group (P<0.05).Second Effect of HFP on the immune function in broilersIn this experiment, we studied on the effects of immune organs index, proliferation of lymphocyte, the content of IL-2and IFN-y in broilers by HFP for material. Control group was fed the basic diet, All test groups were fed the basic diet containing different concentrations of HFP (1000mg/kg,3000mg/kg,5000mg/kg).Test period is Twenty-eight days. The experiment in vitro:take out of3broilers of fourteen and Twenty-eight days in control group, separate lymphocyte and add the culture medium containing different concentrations of HFP (0μg/mL、25μg/mL、50μg/mL、100μg/mL、200μg/mL、400μg/mL、800μg/mL).Study on proliferation of spleen lymphocyte. The result showed that the adding quantity are1000mg/kg and3000mg/kg, spleen index and thymus index are significantly higher than control group (P<0.05). Brusa index is higher than the control group, but no significant differences (P>0.05).The experiment in vivo The adding quantity are1000mg/kg and3000mg/kg, Proliferation of spleen T,B lymphocyte were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05). The experiment in vitro:The adding quantity are50μg/Ml,100μg/Ml,200μg/Ml,400μg/mL, Proliferation of spleen T,B lymphocyte were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05).The concentration of IFN-γ in experimental group were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.01). The concentration of IL-2in all experimental group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.01).In summary, HFP promote the immune function of broilers.Third Effect of HFP on the antioxidant activity in broilersIn this experiment, we studied on the effects of T-SOD, MDA, CAT in the hepar and blood serum of broilers by HFP for material. Control group was fed the basic diet, All test groups were fed the basic diet containing different concentrations of HFP (1000mg/kg,3000mg/kg,5000mg/kg).Test period is Twenty-eight days. The result showed that the adding quantity are1000mg/kg and3000mg/kg, the T-SOD, CAT in the hepar and blood serum of broilers are significantly higher than control group(P<0.05). that the adding quantity are1000mg/kg、3000mg/kg and5000mg/kg, the MDA in the hepar and blood serum of broilers are significantly higher than control group(P<0.01).In summary, HFP promote the T-SOD, CAT in the hepar and blood serum of broilers, and significantly reduced the contents of MDA.
