| Pinellia ternata (Thunb.) Breit is a perennial herbaceous plant of Araceae.It’s drying tuber is used as medicines for two thousand years in China.Recently,Due to the decreasing of Wild Resources of Pinellia ternata and nonstandard Cultivation Measures make cultivar of Pinellia ternata appear the problems of variety degeneration,diseases and insect pests.Therefore, research on good variety selection need to be done urgently. This paper discussed the possibility of Crossbreeding of Pinellia ternata by the research on pollen viability, hybrid seed set, observation on the development of Embryo, stamen and pistil. And identificated the relationship between parents and F1based on the analysis of RAPD, and systematically analysised biological characteristics, photosynthetic characteristics, fluorescence parameter, chemical constituents between parents and Fi in order to select F1with good popularization value.The results are as following:1Xinjiang population of Pinellia ternata has the highest pollen viability among all the parents. The optimum proportion of the nutritional medium is0.0075%boric acid concentration and10%sucrose concentration.The optimum observation time is4h. The best time for Artificial Pollination is9:00-10:00in the morning during a day.The hybridization Compatibility between different parents has significant differences. Correct operation of emasculation and pollination can improve the seed setting rate.2Flower bud differentiation of Pinellia ternata is completed before it’s floral organ emerge. After emergence, the pistil grow mature144h later,the stamen grow mature168h later. Asynchronous Flowering Period is a very important reason of low seeding rate of Pinellia ternata。3RAPD analysis was employed in order to study the specific fragment in Pinellia ternata hybrid F1and it’s parents. The results show that total131loci were amplified from16primers out of24primers, the polymorphic loci percentage were59.54%.The number of band per primer is4.8. According to analysis of genetic distance, hybrid F1was closer to female when it’s parents has low genetic distance.4Research on light compensation point and light compensation point show that: Pinellia ternata is a plant with low light compensation point (17.88~4.36μmol·m-2·s-1) and high light compensation point (1375~1150μmol·m-2s-1),That explained that the light adaptation range of Pinellia ternata is very wide.The CO2compensation point (71.79~92.4μmol·mol-1) shows that Pinellia ternata is a kind of C3plant. Compared different hybrid F1based on all photosynthetic parameters, there are three cross combination:S×Hã€S×Cã€C×T has the excellent characteristics of high Yeild, high qP, low qN. The cross combination H×T has Leaf Area transgressive heterosis and has potential to be a fine strains in Photosynthetic.5Compared parents and hybrid F1of Pinellia ternata with content of guanosine and Organic Acid,there are two cross combination have higher content of guanosine than their parents:H×T, C×T.
