| Twenty commen Roughages in four classes for water buffalo were studied on their nutritive value by the Cornell Net Carbohydrate and Protein System (CNCPS). Twenty three indications of CNCPS were conducted to characterize the carbohydrate and protein fractions of the common roughages to water buffalo. Comparative study of antrone chromametry and enzymatic hydrolysis methods for detemination of strach..The results:(1)Gramineous forage:CNCPS protein fractions, King grass>Sorghum grass>Elephant grass>Paspalum atratum>Para grass>Pacesetter; CNCPS carbohydrate fractionations, Para grass>King grass>Elephant grass>Paspalum atratum>Sorghum grass>Pacesetter.(2)Leguminous forage: CNCPS protein fractions, Lareg leaf Flemingia>Centro>Stylo>Silver wattle; CNCPS carbohydrate fractionations, Lareg leaf Flemingia> Stylo> Silver wattle> Centro.(3(Industrial by-products:CNCPS protein fractions, Brewer’s grain>Pineapple peel> Cassava waste;CNCPS carbohydrate fractionations, Brewer’s grain> Cassava waste> Pineapple peel.(4)Agricultural by-products: CNCPS protein fractions, Corn straw>Corn clothing>Rice straw;CNCPS carbohydrate fractionations, Corn clothing> Corn straw> Rice straw.(5)Silage: CNCPS protein fractions, Sorghum silage>Pacesetter silage>Corn silage; CNCPS carbohydrate fractionations, Pacesetter silage>Sorghum silage>Corn silage. Twenty commen Roughages were analyzed with antrone chromametry (Y)and enzymatic hydrolysis methods(X) for starch content. The results show that there is a significant regression relationship between Y and X:Y=1.01X+0.38, n=20, R2=0.99. |
