Our country is one of the world’s most important cotton-producing areas, and the stalk isused very extensively. The stalk can not only be used as a kind of new energy and a substitutefor wood but also have a high nutritional value. Optimal parameter of blade on the rotarycutting machine test bench is solved in the article by orthogonal experiment method onelectronic universal testing machine controlled by microcomputer. On this base, rotary cuttingtest bench which can simulate the harvest proceduse of cotton straw is developed to study theelements cutting style, cutting speed, feeding speed, cutting angle. etc. that influence thecutting capabilities to find out the optimal combinations of these elements. So the cuttingpower of impact during the cutting is reduced. The main contents include:Orthogonal cutting experiment is performed to the binderless in harvest time onWDW-5E electronic universal testing machine controlled by microcomputer and the resultsreveal that:the ranking of elements that can influence cutting quality is:cutting angle, cuttingspeed, blade thickness, form of set-blade(light tooth blade),blade Angle, form ofmove-blade(light tooth blade).The optimal parameters of the blade are:cutting angle28.2°,cutting speed500mm/min,blade thickness6mm,blade angle28.2°,blade form tooth edge.The optimal results of orthogonal test provide relevant bases for design of disk cotton stalkcutting test bench.A cotton stalk cutting test bench consists of cutting device, transporter and controlacquisition device is designed and manufactured using3D entity design software and2Dgraphic software. The test bench which can adjust the cutting speed and feeding speedcontinuously and collect the torque parameters automatically is ease of handling, home anddry, so it is an effective tool to study the mechanics characteristic of straw.Orthogonal cutting experiment of rotary cutter disks type and rotary disk saw type isperformed in farm machinery lab using the designed bedstand.the results shows that:incutting process of disc knife,the ranking of elements that can influence cutting power is: theblade quantity, transportation speed, cutting speed, blade Angle, cutting angle. the optimalparameters of cutting bench are: transportation speed0.05m/s, cutting speed16m/s, cutting angle13°,blade angle30°,2blades. In cutting process of serrated knife, the ranking ofelements that can influence cutting power is: transportation speed, cutting speed, cutting angle.the optimal parameters of cutting bench are: transportation speed0.15m/s, cutting speed10m/s, cutting Angle8°.The power can be mostly saved using these structural and kineticparameters.The related structure, motion and other parameters cotton talk cutting test bench areoptimized by the orthogonal test, to provide a basis for the future design of related equipmentand to prepare for the future cotton field experiment.Formula and simulation for the successful cutting cotton straw by once and dis-leak byADAMAS dynamic simulation software. The simulation results is consistent with thecalculated results, it is the basis for the future cutting bench test.
