Land desertification is one of the severe ecological problems in China. Vegetation restoration is an effective curb desertification development of the most effective measures. With the successions of sand community, plant community composition and structure also produced tremendous change, and plant community continues to accelerate recovery, sandy soil in the recovery process, plays a very important role. Therefore, a thorough understanding of the characteristics of community structure of vegetation on the sand, sand soil restoration and reconstruction of degraded ecosystem, and the improvement of the ecological environment has very important theoretical guiding significance. The study of the Otindag SandLand in northeast margin of Hexigten Banner surrounding different management period, different succession stages in the sandy land and natural grassland as the research object, basese on the field investigation and indoor analysis of a combination of research methods, attempts to systematically explore on different treatment period and different successional stages of vegetation restoration, soil dynamic changes and mutual influence degree, expectations for the degraded sandy land ecosystem restoration, reconstruction and management provides a theoretical basis. The results shows that:(1) With the development of the deepening and succession management service, the communities of Sandy land has higher level of coverage, species richer and higher level of productivity than before. The ecological environment of Sandy land has been improved.(2) Soil physical and chemical properties of Sandy community are also constantly changing:With the improvement of vegetation coverage, productivity in the communities of Sandy land, the soil water content shows decreasing trend. While with the increasement of soil depth in the vertical level, the soil water content shows decreasing trend, and the soil water content begans to decrease after reaching a certain depth of soil. With the development of vegetation restoration, soil bulk density shows decreasing trend, the organic substances content in soil, total nitrogen and total phosphorus in soil has a rising tendency.(3) There is a closely relationship of interaction between the communities of Sandy land and environment of soil, the process of interaction is that:In the early syages of vegetation coverage, with the invasion and colonization of Agriophyllum squarrosum (Linn.) Moq., Artemisia desterorum Spreng and the other sand binders, The surface roughness is increased, the wind velocity causing sand-blowing is also increased.and wind erosion effect is reduced, the loss of nutrient in soil is decreased,so the ecological environment of Sandy land has been improved.and the improvement of the ecological environment in Sandy land lays a foundation for the invasion of the other plants. Therefore, with the the invasion and colonization of plants,it is produced a large number of plant residues, the ecological environment of Sandy land will be promoted further, and more plants will invade on the Sandy land, and the communities of Sandy land and the ecosystem will be stable.
