According to the research on mechanism and law of surface soil erosion of watershed and impact of vegetation types to sediment yield, showing endanger degree of soil erosion and reason of vegetation degradation in the area, seeking the approach of effective vegetation pattern and concert of plant species, expecting to improve region environment and promote continuable progress of region economy and society. The Wanchanggou small watershed of the upper reaches of the Jialingjiang River as object of research, using mass primacy data of long orientation observation and investigation on the plot, exerting linear regression power function regression index regression logarithm regression and multiple illinear regression and so on, researching the relation of the amount of soil erosion on unit area and the factor of soil erosion and the relation of sediment yield and vegetation status, and comparing effect of water and soil conservation of different vegetation types. On the base, analyzing the function of vegetation restoration to preventing surface soil erosion and fathering water and soil loss of watershed and improving environment of region. The results indicate that:(1)In the number of factors of affecting surface soil erosion of watershed in the test area, function of annual erode force of rainfall a species diversity of plant and soil organic substance are most, so three factors can be confirmed as index factor of evaluating degree of soil erosion in the area.(2)Regression relation of the amount of soil erosion and annual erode force of rainfall indicate, on the initial moment of vegetation restoration, which the amount of soil erosion will be increased with annual erode force of rainfall becoming great. They submit to the index relation of Y=aebx. Y denotes the amount of soil erosion in the formula, and x denotes annual erode force of rainfall. When movement of vegetation status reaches homeostasis, the amount of soil erosion will be increased with annual erode force of rainfall becoming great. They submit to the power function relation of Y=axb. Y denotes the amount of soil erosion in the formula, and x denotes annual erode force of rainfall. The order of the amount of soil erosion in different vegetation types is the amount of soil erosion in multiplayer forest vegetation types< the amount of soil erosion in shrub vegetation types< the amount of soil erosion in monolayer forest vegetation types< the amount of soil erosion in grass vegetation types.(3)Regression relation of the amount of soil erosion and species diversity of plant indicate, in the consistent thing of other condition, which the amount of soil erosion will be decreased with species diversity of plant becoming great in different vegetation types.
