Ship collision will cause a series of disastrous consequences, such asenvironmental pollution and casualties etc. As the number of fishing vessel increasedgreatly and the frequent occurrence of accidents in recent years, it is necessary to dothis technical research of fishing vessel collision and the research is also an importantfundamental work which guarantees the fishermen’s life and property safety.The major work and conclusions are as follows:1、The research methods and situation of the ship collision are summarized. Andthen the research trends are proposed.2、The basic theories and key technologies of the nonlinear finite elementnumerical simulation are introduced in this thesis.3、In this paper the finite element numerical simulation study on characteristic offishing vessel collision is performed for the first time. Based on FEM, the dynamicprocess of the collisions between42meters fishing vessel and2000t oil carrier wascalculated. The structural damage characteristics, the curves of collision force-time,the curves of energy transformation and other relevant data are obtained. And then wediscussed the influence of quality and velocity to the characteristics of ship structurein collision. According to the numerical simulation results, there is larger structuraldamage result in fishing vessel due to low stiffness of the overall structure. While oilcarrier only has a slight deformation. Moreover, there is only small structural damagein bulbous bow when the speed of fishing vessel is less than4kn. With the increase ofthe speed and quality of the fishing vessel, the damage of the structure is also tend tobe increase.4、On the basis of previous paper, the collision between fishing vessel andanti-collision equipment of cross sea bridge are carried out. The energy absorption,structural deformation is analyzed and compared with the result of collision betweenfishing vessel and oil carrier.The results indicate that anti-collision equipment of cross sea bridge plays animportant role in preventing the bridge pier from being damaged in the collision and the impact force is within limits of the pier’s ability against collision. With theincrease of the kinetic energy in the ship collision, there is distinct collision damage tothe less stiffness structure.
