HAL and H-FABP gene are two important candidate genes that have greatcorrelations with skeletal muscle and fat metabolism. Genetic polymorphism researchof the HAL and H-FABP gene has very important significance on improving porkquality and production efficiency.In order to analysis HAL and H-FABP gene polymorphisms and theircorrelationship with birth weight and weaning weight in Junmu1White Pigs, we choseJunmu1White Pig core group in the original pig farm of Jilin University asexperimental material, use PCR-RFLP technique to detect HAL and H-FABP genepolymorphisms, and analyzed the correlationship between genotype and piglet birthweight and weaning weight. Results showed that: HAL gene had no homozygousrecessive detected in Junmu1White Pig core group, allele frequencies of n is0.1780.In gene H-FABP, allele frequencies of H on HinfI site is0.7881, on HaeIII site allelefrequencies of D is0.5254, MspI site showed no polymorphism, and genotypes wereall presented aa. Research on the correlationship of genotype with piglet birth weightand weaning weight found: genotype NN of the gene HAL showed a significantlyhigher birth weight compared with that of the Nn-type (0.01<P<0.05), while weaningweight showed no significant difference between NN and Nn genotypes. In H-FABPgene, all genotypes of Haeā…¢ siteand HinfI sites showed no significant differences onpiglet birth weight and weaning weight.In order to improve the efficiency of genetic analysising and screening, weconstructed a double digestion analysising system for swine HAL and H-FABP genepolymorphism detection. Electrophoresis of products were clear and suffice for thedemand of genotype analysising. This study had established an excellent theoretical basis on optimizing Junmu1White Pig genetic structure and to achieve the conctruction of the high quality and highefficiency Junmu1White pig core group.
