Although as a new mutagenic breeding pathway low energy ion beam was widely applied and created better economic benefits, there has no research on the influence of low energy ion beam for ABA biosynthesis. We find abnormal expression genes from the gene chips which detected the nitrogen ion beam irradiated rice, and these genes involve in ABA biosynthesis and pathway. In order to investigate the characters of ABA biosynthesic genes (ZEP, NCED, AAO, SDR, P450s) expression in rice seedlings stage which irradiated by the low-energy iron beam, mRNA were purified from seedlings at different growth stages ranging from72to120h after imbibition and analyzed by realtime qPCR. In addition, By using ELISA, we explored the alteration of ABA content from48to144h after imbibition. This paper provides a preliminary basis for analysis on the influence of low energy ion beam for ABA biosynthesis passway. The results showed that different doses irradiation could differently change synthase genes and ABA contents.Overall, ABA biosynthesic genes, except SDR3, were increased dramatically by1×1017N+/cm2dose and5×1017N+/cm2high dose ion beam irradiation. Endogenous ABA contents in each treatment group increased at differently extent, however, endogenous ABA contents in3×1017N+/cm2dose group remaining relatively lower. The phenomenon which low energy N+implantation enhanced ABA biosynthesic gene transcription and improved the endogenous ABA content show that low energy N+implantation caused some injury to rice embryo cells after48h culture, then may activate the plant response system dependent on ABA response system.
