| As the insufficient total amount, poor quality and uneven distribution of Chinese forest resources, silviculture will be the core content of forestry building for a long period in the future. Silviculture standards play an important role in the forestry standardization construction, but there has not been authoritative silviculture standard system so far. Therefore, this study builds the silviculture standard system by systems engineering thoughts as a guide to making and amending silviculture standards in the future and also the blueprint and basis for silviculture standards development in a certain period of time,.This study analyzes and studies on the problems of silviculture and its standards development through comparative study, qualitative and quantitative analysis, empirical research method and system analysis and draws the following conclusions:(1) The quality level of Silviculture standards is low. It also lacks the coordination and unification among the standards. The content of silviculture stantards is outmoded and aging, and its scope is ambiguously defined and compilation is not standardized. The establishment of silviculture standards system is urgent as a guide to making and amending standards, thus changing the present state of forest cultivation.(2) The process of Silviculture is a complex system, and the systems engineering thoughts can be used to analyze and study on Silviculture standard system. This study establishes the framework and the schedule of silviculture standard system combined with the content of silviculture technology system and the standards of each sub-system of Silviculture system.(3) This study lists out a total of70Silviculture standards, which includes22formulated ones,28ones which are not yet formulated and20ones which are needed to supplementary making through the systematic analysis. It is urgent to make the following standards in China:forest site standards, the standards of selecting tree species for different forest types, stand structure standards, forest productivity indicators and forest biological production standards, group cultivation seeding technology standards, the planning and designing standards of agroforestry management, the method of forest harvesting operations and forest regeneration standards. |
