Oil Sunflower is one of China’s four major oil crops. To find out theideal soil conditions for high-yield and high-class oil sunflower, andthereby to choose from the best, can not only improve the efficiencyof land use, increase the effectiveness of unit area of benefits, butalso provide a theoretical help for the use of germplasm resources. This study may create certain theoretical significance as well aspractical significance. Combined with pot experiment and laboratorytest, this thesis examines the main soil types in Xiangfen County,Shanxi Province, and screens for the most suitable-for-planting OilSunflower variety in accordance with the different performances onOil Sunflower’s growth, agronomic characters, economic character, yield and quality planted in various types of oils like Brown Soil,Meadow Soil and Paddy Soil. The result shows that:Various types of soils all have significant influences on theagronomic characters of different types of Oil Sunflowers, such asgrowth duration, plant length, stem diameter, plate diameter and leaf number. Each Oil Sunflower variety has its own well-performedagronomic traits in each type of soil. But the performance of growthduration, plant length, stem diameter and plate diameter of differenttypes of oil sunflowers in different types of soil is relatively stable, that is most affected by the characteristics of varieties ,while leafnumber is most affected by soil types.Economic characters of Oil Sunflower kernels, which includekernel size, kernel weight, plumpness and mainly performs on theappearance, can affect the yield of sunflower to a large extend. Onthe respect of kernel size, S606, S625, Aidatou518, MAT414’sperformance are quite consistent as Paddy Soil>Brown Soil>Meadow Soil; while T012244 as Paddy Soil>Meadow Soil>Brown Soil.On the respect of Kernel weight, the performance of S606,T012244 isBrown Soil>Meadow Soil>Paddy Soil; MAT414, Aidatou 518 as PaddySoil>Meadow Soil>Brown Soil. The variety with best plumpness isMAT414, with S625, Aidatou 518 the second best and S606, T012244the worst. By the experimental data obtained, kernel number is mostaffected by soil types, while kernel size and plumpness are mostaffected by the characteristics of varieties.Yield and yield factors have different performances amongdifferent Oil Sunflower Varieties. TO12244 receives a better yieldplanted in Brown Soil and Meadow Soil; S606 and S625 receive a better yield planted in Brown Soil and Paddy Soil;the same as MAT414and Aidatou518 in Meadow Soil and Paddy Soil. Plate diameter, kernelnumbers per plate, and yield perform consistently with the threetypes of soil as Paddy Soil>Meadow Soil>Brown Soil, but in terms ofkernel weight, it turns out as Brown Soil>Paddy Soil>Meadow Soil.Variability analysis shows that, the single-plate kernel number variesthe most, with yield and kernel weight in the second place, and platediameter the least. This indicates that the kernel weight, single-platekernel number and yield are most affected by soil types.Under the experimental conditions of this study, quality traits offive varieties of Oil Sunflowers differ greatly with external influences. In different types of soil, there are 4 quality characters havingdifferent performances: on the respect of kernel weight, theperformance shows as Paddy Soil>Meadow Soil>Brown Soil, huskcontent rate as Brown Soil>Meadow Soil>Paddy Soil, kernel oil rateas Paddy Soil>Meadow Soil>Brown Soil. Variability analysis showsthat kernel weight differs the most among three types of soil, with therate as high as 30.17%, and has poor stability. Kernel oil rate variesless with different soil types, which proves that this trait of OilSunflower is hereditary.Referring to the 5 varieties of Oil Sunflowers, the general analysisof the two methods (DTOPSIS and Gray Relation Analysis) indicates that, the comprehensive property performance in Brown Soil is shownas S606,T012244>S625>MAT414, Aidatou 518;in Meadow Soil asT012244>MAT414>S606,S625, Aidatou 518; in Paddy Soil asS625,MAT414>S606>Aidatou 518>T012244. The Oil Sunflowervarieties with better performance in all three soils can be sorted outto plant in their most suitable soils. In this way, land can be used moreefficiently and farmers’income be increased. As a result of potexperimental conditions, this test might leave a gap compared withfield tests, therefore the test data is for reference only. To refer to thelocal ecological conditions and the actual situation is also necessaryfor various regions, so as to play a variety of advantages. In summary,S606, T012244 have better comprehensive traits in Brown Soil,T012244, MAT414 performs better in Meadow Soil, and S625, MAT414have good stability in Paddy Soil. These good Oil Sunflower varietiesneed to be widely cultivated.
